Bought a mint pre_64 .264 Win Mag a few months ago.
Been choping at the bit to shoot it.
Had time today, went to a small rural gun range only to see a few trucks and people there. (Rare).
Noticed a few young kids. Figured it must have been a training course.
I fella walked up to me and asked if I came to shoot. Yep.
He apologized and said they'd be done in a hour.
I laughed and said " no problem, get them kids shooting".
Said have fun and be safe.
There's always another day. (Lord willing)

with 4 kids, each in some kind of activity or 2 it can be hard to see their growth as I just can't be there and watch everything.
Well I go to a larger church and they put on a big Christmas Pageant every year that you have to try out for.
Yesterday was the time for kids to try out, I have a 9 year old son that has been playing piano and just started the double bass and is leaning music. He is in the kids ensemble and full choir.
I have a 7 year old daughter that is fully into piano and different types of dance, and wants to be in movies like Matilda the musical.
They want her in kids ensemble, the drama (acting) group, and she tried out for solo dance and group dance.
She was too young to be a flying angel, where you get all harnessed up and they zip you across the sky "flying"

But I got to sit there and watch/listen to my kids sing and dance, and do it so well and to the best of their ability.
I honestly almost teared up watching my daughter do her solo dance try out.
She is 7 and in the 1% for height and weight meaning she is LITTLE.
Most of the girls trying out were 12-15? and she did NOT look out of place based on ability.

Best things in life - enjoying your kids accomplishments, no complaining about paying for lessons, no complaining about driving across town and time, just enjoying the kids work and effort!

the other 2 kids are too young for this pageant

you can guess which one is mine in the picture, picture is from group dance try out where ages ranged a bit more broadly

Had my first practice for my travel team and my team is STRONG. No drama, loud, and excited. Going to be a great season.

I almost had a press some years ago but a woman got out of her car faster than me...lol
We have a couple of places here that you can fill a truck bed and they will press just your apples for cider. Same for grapes. I like the steam juicer for canning convenience. Though fresh pressed juice is so good! We have whiskey barrels for making hard cider that's a big thing around here. I have a jar in frig from last year.....sipping drink only.

I have my grandparents old cider press (probably 100+ years old) It was one of the few things I really wanted when they passed. We have a lot of great memories with it and I try to make new memories as much as possible with our friends and family.

Lady I did some work for yesterday gave me 2lb of burger from a young grain fed steer.
Just put in a pan with a can of Buschs beans, a couple cut up tomatoes, couple cut up bell peppers and a 1/2 jar of Alfedo sauce.

Simmering now. 1 hour till its taken off and 1/2 hour to cool off.
