My son is doing an internal medicine rotation at a VA hospital in GA... And you can bet it was one of the best days my son has had in med school.
Having youngest grandson this morning. He picked blueberries for ice cream and did a great job. When we stopped due to heat he turned to me and said, " picking blueberries was fun! grandma " I then took him to the blind after lunch and going over kindergarten activity book with him.
We have the boys overnight tomorrow, going to go into town for root beer floats, play on the lilly pad, dig in the dirt, catch some fish.
Get a text from my regional director asking me if I would like this weekend off call starting in 2 minutes with no change in pay. No brainer… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Leaving all the windows in car open due to heat and forgetting to close them with rain forecasted. For once the Lousy forecasts benefitting me
Used and old quote from Harmon Killibrew on my wife this morning. My oldest grandson is out in the yard with my cordless drill with a 1/2 bit drilling holes in the lawn. My wife came in the house and said Landon is drilling holes all over the lawn, I said that's nice, she said he is drilling holes in the lawn. I said we are raising Grandsons not grass.
Lots of undercover Bad A parents out there that don't get much recognition. Neighbors have a 6 yr old autistic son and baby. Day 2 of no power in this horrible heat. They are in their driveway with the kids in the car to cool them down. The autistic boy wouldn't do well in a hotel so they are just improvising and will probably sleep in their suv. Great darn parents.
87,000 miles and $12.50 plus the limo $200 with tip. 12 days is worth every penny. Also get to call in dog watching markers, wife will park at the son's house and he will drive her to and from the airport. Plus she will come home happy and refreshed, ready to go back to school and start working again.
Even a blind sow finds an acorn once in a while. It finally happened to me! I have been a fairly avid golfer for over 40 years and finally got my first hole in one. I have been within an inch many times, but just never got one to fall in the cup. A couple of weeks ago I was playing in a Shriner's club event in Des Moines and on a 302 yard par 4, I hit my driver about as well as I can and it one hopped onto the green and rolled into the cup. Fortunately for us, the beer cart girl was following us up that hole and we were able to deplete her cart of every shooter bottle of Fireball and Jack Daniels in a matter of minutes. Shortly after, we had to make a quick trip to the clubhouse bar for additional celebratory beverages. Good times!
For all you non golfers... That right there is legendary. Congrats Ace Sent from my Pixel 6 using Tapatalk
Thanks Fix! There has only been one hole in one on a par 4 in the history of the PGA tour. Definitely not how I expected to get my first. But, I will take it!
