Have to laugh go out and it is all clouds and gloomy. Uncover brassica and weed between plants. Realize hey no rain forecast may be right late today. I call A. J. To walk home so I can get out JD mower. No sooner hit the driveway skies open up . Get to house decide to eat an early lunch . 10 mins in rain stops and sun comes out. Now too wet to mow...lol

Day 9 out of a 10 day stretch done at work. Beer and deer steaks on the grill shortly.

Windows have been open AC off for the past 5-6 days. Hopefully it makes for when I fired the AC up and neglected to turn off the infloor heat.

Torrential rains yesterday and last night. Rained so hard a few times while driving the expressway went from 75 to 40 dang fast no one could see. That was a bit disconcerting. Made it fresh and sunny though. Windows are back open, blue skies seen again.

My dad bought my oldest his first shotgun for his 12th birthday. This afternoon we went out and shot for the first time. He cleanly broke 10 of 35 and grazed another 5 or 6 that we could tell moved from his shot but didn’t break. My wife wanted to shoot as well. But she didn’t hit anything.:biggrin: I broke about 20 of 45.

Getting to spend time with my 16 year old grandson this summer. Got him some money making projects this summer help to buy his first car. Kinda nice showing him how thing work. Kid never used power tools in his life. Papaw safety class and tricks on how to make them work better is being instilled in his work ethic.

Finding out I was right. Said when the neighbor below us started cutting his Norway we would get the deer traffic.Hubby came home last night and said there's been a lot of deer crossing on to our place when he drive to and home from work.
Also huge hunters golden rod field has been turned to a crop field this year. Another big bedding area gone 1/2 mile straight from gypsy blind. Don't know what crop yet. Seeing more fawns this year . Just had a Tom gobble out side my window in New plot

New territory for me. I've had a piece of property in my home town for about 15years that I inherited and I've always wanted to build a home there. Looks like I break ground in a few weeks. Kinda surreal. I just sold my home in Missouri and we are about to put our house here on the market. Gonna be a wee bit of stress coming our way, but we are excited!
