Last day of therapy today, pretty happy been going every week most weeks 3 times a week since January. Feeling great mowing does not require advil. I have not taken an advil since I started with the therapy.
I played ball into college. I would easily give up a year of my life for one AB in The Show, just for bragging rights. Good on him for sticking it out.
My little sister called me (she is my favorite sibling) Her son aced the ACT 36. Other than soccer he is a normal kid too. He can go to college any place he chooses. Funny as far as my family my sister and I my out of 5 of us that did not divorce and raised our kids as a priority and ate supper together as much as possible and did not have drama, our kids are very successful and stable.

My wife decided it was time for me to get out of my recliner and do some walking with her today. We got to see some interesting sights in the Missouri Ozarks including the “summit” of Taum Sauk Mountain, the highest point in Missouri at a whopping 1772 feet above sea level and Johnson’s Shut In where the “Black River is funneled down to wash through multi-billion year old rock formations. It was a pretty good day.
Having your kids and grandson who you haven't seen in 7 months make a surprise visit from Florida out of the blue. Gotta say they had this old man in tears joy and full of hugs! Break out the steaks and shrimp... Cause we're gonna have a big cook out tonight and enjoy family time we miss with them living so far away!
My freshman daughter has straight As all year minus advanced geometry(weighted class). The first nine weeks she wanted out of the class because she didn't want to hurt her GPA. We discussed with her what education really means. Learning/overcoming/pushing your limits and we told her we weren't worried about her getting a B or C if she put in the effort. All year she had a C in the class...until today. Last test of the year and her 9 weeks grade jumped to a B..she texted me and felt so proud. Makes me happy. Might be a C for the year but the end result is she saw the value of sticking with things when they get tough.
My oldest turns 12 today. On Monday he was selected to the league allstar team for the summer, his second allstar team selection, two tournaments next month including the state championship tournament. Last night we played the number #1 team in the league shorthanded with 7 players. He pitched 3 innings with 8Ks, 0Ws, 1 pick off and 4 hits. Defense made a few fielding errors that led to runs. We ending up losing 6-5. He went 2 for 3 with RBI single, RBI Sac ground out and RBI Double, 4 SBs and scored once. The other team’s coaches are the allstar coaches since they won the league play. Multiple times during the game, they cheering my son on for his pitching performance. He was fired up last night. My dad was in town for his birthday and got to watch his dominant performance. Today my youngest graduated from prek, tomorrow my middle son graduates elementary.
Just finished the front deck on the pontoon, carpet was rotted because it is outside the mooring cover. I took carpet out and put UVA synthetic foam down. It was easy it looks great I will never put carpet in a boat again. Next up finish the go fast boat this weekend.
