Went on a walk with my girl, found 25 morels. They weren’t there 3 days ago. After these next storms come through they should be popping up all over.
Come on out to SW Pa will Eat, drink and be merry ! Making back straps and potatoes on the wood grill now then gonna top with morels
cant find Turkeys looking at the ground, Morels are just a plus to the hunt, good luck with the turkeys
My son was over last night to dig leeks. He kept saying you have a gold mind here ,do you know what you could get per bunch of these? .ove our wild forage but the one thing we don't have are morals. I take that back 17 years ago I found.....one
Literally watching the tree leaves open in real time last night. Green slowly spreading across the sky line moving up the hill. Woke this morning to a lively wet green world it was a perfect gentle rain last night.
Went back out after work and checked spots I hit with my daughter, picked up some more. Majority were under dead paradise apple trees.
Daughter calling excited about a new vehicle she's been trying to find. Had to go out of state to find it. I laugh she started out with a jeep at 16 went to a mustang muscle car then a turbo something . I'm not a car person she is though, so at 40 this. She doesn't fool around when it comes to buying cars..lol
She's in such a liberal area, I hope her parking areas are secure...though at least She's not at the college any more...lol
I brag on my oldest son's baseball skills a lot. He and my middle son are on the same team. Middle son missed last week's game because he was sick. Last night he got his turn to shine: RBI Double, 4 SB, scored twice. Playing catcher, twice he threw out the runner on dropped third strike calls. He was hit by a pitch in his first at bat in shoulder. Took it like champ and stole his way around to score.
Home after a long week, sleeping in my own bed, not having to be on all day and out for dinner every night, priceless.
