Thought I was going to have to buy a roof rake, for once the wind serves a purpose and cleared it for me.

I bet they are easier to butcher than domestic rabbits, nasty back claws.

My son came over with some fantastic craft beers. A nice Burial brewery IPA for me.

I think Burial brewing & Noda brewing (2 NC craft brewers) are just about as good as Russian River or Bear republic breweries.

Got the best Christmas card ever from my 7 yr old grandson. Handmade and written by him. He thanked me for his "big boy" truck. (His first hobby grade RC truck like his two older brothers) Gave it to him early so he could play with it before winter. And asking me to come over more often because he missed me. (See him almost weekly and talk to him on the phone more than that) Included was a handmade ornament. Popsicle sticks cut, glued and painted to look like a Christmas tree. And....the best bear hug any guy could ask for. I was darn near in tears. Gotta love 'em!

Little brush with celebrity today. On a whim, we decided to drive by the @dudeperfect HQ with the kids. We had the good luck to bump into Coby Cotton who was nice enough to give us a couple minutes of his time and take pictures with our kids. I love how family friendly the DP brand is. As friendly and personable in person as they seem in their videos.

Went to a memorial gathering last night my best friend from high school his Mom. I got redemption for a horrible racist joke I told when I was 17. I was with my friend and a friend of the family on a Friday night and I told a joke not knowing the guy was native american. I felt like an a-hole that night and it stuck with me for 30 some years. I saw the guy last night and told him how sorry I was for my ignorance, funny he did not remember but I did.

Being able to hang out with my 14 year old daughter every day after 4 years of being away from home half the year bc of work. Had medical bills to pay. Just feeling very thankful to being around her every day.

This was going to be a rant but I am mellowing. When the wife got up I suggested that we should go to the Rock tavern for breakfast, that was a little over an hour ago and the shower just shut off. It will be another 45 minutes before she is ready to go. Sure glad she is not high maintance. We left the house at 10:30

This but with a one-bathroom house. 1 1/2 hours for her, 15 minutes for me and then clothes change for her right before we are ready to head out the door. Questions leading up to the last minute, clothes change. Do you like this shirt/sweater?? Always yes, but not the right answer. Is this going to be too warm or too cold to wear?? Always no, but still the wrong answer. Other questions... does my hair/ make-up look nice or do I need to touch it up a little?? Answer is always yes. She gets mad and hollers, you didn't even look. So what if I didn't even look, it is time to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thing about me getting ready to go I have to decide what hoodie I am wearing or ball cap or if I need to wear my "good" jeans.

Well this will start out as a best thing in life post. Tomorrow my son is coming to the office to drop off his hound Larry we will have him for over two weekends. Also starting tomorrow night we will be looking after the boys, daughter and SIL are headed to Mexico for a week. Wife is going to stay at the farm during the week, I will go over and make supper and help get the boys ready for bed. Friday-Sunday at the lake. I am sure it will be exausting.

Larry is litterally a hound he is high energy he is used to running 10 plus miles with my son, luckily Landon and I will take larry on the lake with the 4 wheeler and let him run. We have had the kids for a weekend before never a week, I am sure they will miss Mama and Dado at some point and I may get to see the temper my daughter says my Grandson has. That is why we moved here, and will always watch Larry, we didn't spoil our kids but we will do anything for them.

Had to make a 30 mile trip to town today.
No big hurry. Just happened to have my .243 with and lots of gravel roads.
2 coyotes will not enjoy the starving deer this winter.:tu:

If I had 4 shot 410 loads I could load the judge and shoot fresh pheasant for supper most nights. Saving the birds for my next dog.
