Today went pretty well, announcement was made about 8am and the nit so secret secret was out. Think like maybe 2 people were surprised and probably faked it Took most of the day to get all my electronic credentials implemented, 2 new supervisors and leadmen added, one supervisor switching departments and a department switch creating a new department was dropped on the IT guy about 9am. Everyone else was made aware 2 weeks ago, but he was on vacation as well. Will be spending the next couple weeks taking individual concerns and and bottlenecks they have and doing what I can to resolve those, if possible. All about gaining trust and respect at this point. 18 years + doing what they do isn't enough. I'm going to be the one that gets changes implemented where needed and as quickly as possible.
My daughter got honorable mention for league allstar for VB . Which is cool but what makes it great is she is the youngest on her team and beat over a hundred girls that were 4yrs older for the spot. Hell she just turned 14 Sent from my Pixel 6 using Tapatalk
I don't know what feels better. Accepting a new job or sending that 2 week notice email to current supervisor.

The wife and my 34-year wedding anniversary today. The other night she asked me if something special was coming up. I said yes. I finally get a weekend off from work. That wasn't the right answer. She asked me how long we have been married. I told her it has to be way over half an eternity, probably pushing 2/3's of an eternity. Again, not the right answer but got a chuckle out of her and a half arsed death glare. I asked her if she was ready for another 34 years with me. I think she still likes me because she said yes.
