So we have the boys Saturday and Sunday, have a plan Grandson drives around they yard we pick up sticks and start a fire and cook hotdogs over the fire, going to be fun.
I bet I was asked why 200 times today by my grandson who will be 3 in November. The youngest one will be 1 in December eating machine and is like picking up a bag of cement. Funny how exhausting chasing kids around is. It is heaven though dreamed of being the place the grandkids want to be. I was on the plane last night when I got the face time video from Landon, Grandpa I am coming to stay at the lake, he was stoked.

Lifetime license for ppl. like me. I put things in safe places, a running joke with my family. They are so safe even I can't find them!... My life time tags yep put in holder used for doe hunt then placed some where safe...I now have very clean draws everywhere in the house, looking for tag holder. Well in NY a life time gets replaced for free if lost before Nov. 1. Getting new tags tomorrow for first regular season hunt Saturday. Guarantee to have tag holder reappear soon after...lol
I have much the same problem although I am "aided" somewhat by my wife. Tag comes in about May. I hang it on the door-wife moves it....somewhere....put it in a drawer, wife moves it somewhere....

Oh speaking of....I lost brand new 189. 00 glasses. Hubby was with me...tore the house and car apart looking for them. While looking for tags. I get down on my stomach with a flash light to look under our very heavy cherry buffet...Oh boy I need to move and clean under that....no tags but guess what I found....not a clue how they made it under there, but they were lens up and in great shape. Aahhh That's the end of that poke,poke,poke and everyone he meets hearing about...the lost glasses....lol P.S. Not that I won't manage to reload him.....hahaha
I have to do just one more... Cooler weather cooking. Tonight was a two day marinated air fryer whole chicken, asparagus, and eggplant parm. from our garden eggplants and tomato sauce. Good way to warm us and the house before the furnace gets turned on.
Dropping your deer off at the processor at noon, picking up deer meat at 230. They apparently don't have a lot of bow hunters around here.
Had a little bit of a scare with my middle baby girl. Shes 7 and has been bad sick the last couple days. Docs thought it could be meningitis. Er trip last night now another ER trip to Childrens in St Louis. The ER was thinking Influenza or MIS-C which is some serious inflammation syndrome that is an after effect from Covid in kids which she had that this june. Blood work and nose swabs revealed Adenovirus… i never heard of it before today. Some Flu like virus. Ill take it over meningitis or the other thing. Just has to run its course. Little boogers scare me when they get real sick. So good news is we got to come home. I hate hospitals
