Posted this in the live from the stand thread but it belongs here too. Some best things on my first out of state public land hunting trip to North Dakota. It’s been so great. - Spending 5 days with best friends scouting and glassing endless amounts of fields. We probably drove close to 200 miles the last few days. -Finding a section with numerous mature bucks on our own from boots on the ground and looking at maps. -Seeing a large herd of elk while the sun rose. Bulls chasing cows and all. -The sunrises and sunsets have been phenomenal. -Talking to all of the locals in various bars BS’ing about all things life. -Doing my first run and gun hang and hunt on public ground. -North Dakotas speeding laws. Going 82 in a 70 on our way out here and it’s only a $50 fine. Trooper was a fellow bow hunter and knocked it down to 80 for us. Couldn’t believe we were hunting in the warm weather. His son had to play football in Minot when it was 97 on Friday. -The northern lights this morning on the way to hunt. I could go on and on but here are a few of the shots I took the last few days. I wish I had the means, I really thought it would list in the upper 4oo's. I think some of the land may have been sold to neighbors as there was a thin section that went between two other properties and a separate 5 acre section that was basically a creek and ridge on both sides ao nothing more than acreage. When you realize that both your adult kids are making as much as or way more than their Dad, whom BTW, makes a dang good living. Job accomplished.........
