Finally the weather has turned, so nice to have outdoor projects to work on every night after work. Orioles and hummers are back too I was hesitant to feed them I have pulled my other feeders but those two birds need nectar so it seems worth the risk.

After a couple of tough losses, my boys got back in the win column last night. My oldest pitched two scoreless innings of relief last night striking out four batters, picking off one. The last out of the game came from my middle son playing catcher when he threw out at kid trying to steal 3rd. My oldest continued his hitting hot streak going 2 for 2 with a single, triple and two RBIs. We would be undefeated if the rest of the team had hit decently in the two losses over the last couple of weeks. My oldest provided all the offense in those games with all 7 RBIs in the two games. Both losses came with a combined shortfall of three runs. Currently setting in second place, but have a better RF/RA ratio than the first place team.

Final interview today at Phillips 66. A lot of stress on whether to take this job or not if i am offered , which through the grapevine from an internal source, if you make it this far and dont bomb interview, you will get offer. I will be around same hourly rate but much less OT. Ive worked 50+ hrs / week for last 20 yrs. Will be substantial loss of income. Dont get me wrong im all for working less but it has to make sense. My wife is stay at home and trying to find a job now so i can make this move if i want. I wouldnt normally put fam through this but the stability of my company is like the Titanic these days. Worse case scenario we may have to move again. Problem is nothing on market to move or rent!! I know my company will try to buy me back and let me name my price but i fear i will be one of the violin players on the titanic if i stay. Jesus take the wheel!!!!!

also. I am 2 yrs shy of my 7th!! Week of vacation where im at. I will be going down to 2 :whip:

Been busy and haven't been on here for a bit. Glad to see all the BTIL posts. I have been juggling 2 separate legal issues that are draining my savings unnecessarily, planning a move, dealing with my kids and all that entails, traveling back and forth between MO and NC (along with a couple of nice vacay type trips) and helping a buddy move. I post all that here, because, despite feeling overwhelmed, I am thankful that I have great family and friends surrounding me who support me and keep me focused on the important things. I am very fortunate. Looks like I'll be moving closer to my home state in the next few months and I'm not sure exactly where I'll land just yet. The objective is to be closer to my folks so that I can help them out with everything they now struggle with. Anyhoo, just thought I'd drop in and share. Keep it between the ditches!

I love that I can come here in the off seasons and still see the rants, silliness, occasional brow beating, and btil posts.

Tough decisions, I wish you the best in what ever you decide. If you'll be making about the same, are you in a situation where you could go a different direction entirely? Example:
Daughter was chief of staff at a college. Couldn't abide the BS any longer was offered an entirely different position doing legal/contracts at a bank....that turned into over worked and "shined on" So now she's in the employment / corporate contracts arenas...all off a higher ed education. Point she took all her experiences and knowledge to expanded her resume'.

It would be hard to let go of 7 weeks of vacation that I would never use all of.

Thanks, Bill. You aren't kidding about too few of NC folks here. For now it is looking like Greensboro area until some things get sorted out.

White pilled by a blue hair-

Dropped off our dog at the groomers at PetSmart today, we hadn't been there since my Giant Schnauzer passed back in february. We use the same groomer for both dogs. She asked about OTTO and when I told her he had passed she got kind of choked up and said she figured since we hadn't been back in a few months. When I come back in the afternoon to pick up the little one, the groomer gave me these. They even went so far as to call ex-employees and employees at another area location where we used to take him.
Thank God I waited until I got home to open the card otherwise I would have broken down in front of her and all the other beautiful people.

Check out the top left note from his groomer...when that dog decided he liked someone, he would die for them.
What a character. Better eulogies on that card for a dog than you'd hear for most people- and many of the comments were from people he hadn't been around in several years. He left that much of an impression. A stranger's dog...

    I am speechless.

Well **** cutting onions on a friday morning. Reminds me of the Casey Kasem rant about a dedication to a dead dog.

That's an awesome tribute to him @dnoodles , says a lot about what a dog he was. Like Sota, I might've looked like I just cut some onions after reading that.
