Not sure, I just put it in the freezer to keep it cold. Then it got buried and forgotten about, gone now though
I once left 6_7 cans of beer in my Suburban. Got down to _44* that night. Every can exploded. What a mess!. Edit, this should have went in the rant thread.
That's strange funny...hubby stopped drinking beer ...a decade ago. We sorta forgot the beer in the extra fridge ...until I opened one for beer bread....EEEEWWWWWW!!!! It smelled like I'd let a skunk in the kitchen. So grabbed them , cans and bottles, taking them to the garden. OK after using a few for slugs and such I forgot the others in a pile in a corner. Two years later... dang if they were still intact and had beer in them. To say I was afraid of them at this point is understated . Took out a old leaf tarp placed them on it and got the 22 out. Let it rain on it a couple of times before folding up and tossing...still stunk.
Yesterday after baseball practice was over, I decided to make my oldest pitch to me as a batter, while my middle son caught. I have always known my oldest has a great arm for his age, but, he started blowing pitches by me. Granted, I haven't played baseball since I was 12 and I haven't goofed off in the batting cages in a few years. Last time I did, I was hitting pitches at 70 - 80, and struggling to keep up. I am pretty sure he was throwing 60 mph+ as a 10 year-old. I asked why he doesn't throw that hard when he pitches in games. He said he was afraid of hurting kids on the other team if he made a bad pitch. I told him not to worry about that and to fire the ball because learning not to crowd the plate is an important life lesson and baseball lesson. He told me the only way he could make himself throw that hard would be if he pretended that he was pitching to me. I told him to go for it. I hope brings that confidence to the mound in the next game.
I'm coaching my youngest in Tee Ball this year (5 and 6 year olds) and asst coaching my oldest in 10U (9-10 year olds). He's also playing on a local travel team, which means 5-6 days a week we're at a baseball field somewhere. My daughter is in gymnastics and soccer, so my wife and I are pretty much running in separate directions at all times. It's a hectic schedule for sure, but it's very much worth it. I may complain now, but I'll miss it someday when it's all over. So I'm trying to enjoy it while I can.
I remember those days can be a challenge. Makes you appreciate the occasional weekend where you don't have to be anywhere.
According to our family calendar, I have 6 days without some sort of scheduled event in the next 6 weeks. Whichever ones of those aren't taken up by make-up games I'm going to try and put a lure in the water and/or work on treestands. Glad I got some stand work done in March when I had the chance.
It goes by fast. Enjoy it while it lasts. Next thing you know, you'll be grandparents! Sent from my SM-G981U using Tapatalk
No joke, the other night, my oldest was kind enough to point out that when my youngest turns 13, he will be 20 and I will 48.
OK so this is me 1. If it's mechanical...I will break it 2. If it isn't attached to me physically.... I will lose it. Hubby bought me a wonderful Wyoming saw 11 or so years ago. While working 9 or so years ago I hung it on a branches. Now mind you so I'd see the bright red handle and not lose it. It was a very busy day of trimming wild fruit trees ALL over the property. I had hung the saw several times. Well I forgot it. When I remembered I'd forgotten it I went to the last remembered hanging spot. Here I am 9 or so years later and checking Apple trees. A tiny bit of red catches my eye in the leaf litter. Low and behold my Wyoming saw! Not even close to to where I've been looking all these years. The frame is discolored but Not rusted. The blade is still sharp but very rusted as well as the wing nut blade holder. Son of a gun I need a lottery ticket...lol now if I could only find a couple of phones, knives, shiefs. BTW I found a deer call last week.
If I could just learn to wear a belt! I could hang all kinds of things where I wouldn't forget them. Right now we've all been looking for a $180 pair of driving glasses. I just found $200 I forgot about in a "safe" spot, while looking for the glasses....there's a cosmic message in that .....lol
I just sent the company a thank you for a great product with pics. He had gotten me another I mainly use for deer cutting. Afraid to lose it..lol
My oldest turns 20 this September and my youngest 14 this summer....ill be 48 late this year. We are a long for the same ride buddy.
As a soon to be 56 year old, gentleman it is going to be expensive till kids are out of college and married off but it is like stopping hitting your thumb with a hammer the finical hemorrhage stops. Life gets easy until the health issues creep in.
Saturday is the day my Mom's party, going to be a hell of a party open bar and food a band, party at Cast and Cru on Lake Minnetonka. I keep trying to come up with words that would accurately explain the relationship I had with my mother without offending 3/4 of the attendees. My Mom was always tardy and it drove me nuts material I can't use. It will be a party not a funeral. OK tell me if you would be offended. My Mother was always late she was born 1/4/42 I bet she was due 2 days before that. Even in death remove all life support we are all there her kids and husband and she still was not ready to go for 8 days. Pat was tardy but she was tough as hell too. The toughest person I know, we never counted her out even at her biggest challenge it was hard to deal with her not beating the odds once again.
Her tenacity her hallmark till her end. RIP. Have a great party, be safe. As I tell my kids, ‘don’t be stupid’
Truth man. I just finished up VB for my youngest coaching travel is tough. Now it's just camps and open gyms every Sunday while I dodge the invites to be head coach this Aug. Sent from my Pixel 6 using Tapatalk
