Thanks for the info OND. We definitely have trout lily, I see it all over my property.
I will be carefully watching for leeks the next time I'm up there.

    *Edit*
A bit of internet searching is showing that wild leeks do not grow this far west, they are mainly in the northeast. I'd swear I've seen that plant mushroom hunting though, will still keep an eye out.

Homemade sour kraut is fantastic, so good.
I also don't mind a good batch of corned beef and cabbage.

I live surrounded by German heritage small towns. The summer festivals are awesome. Kraut and sausage and beer out the wazoo.

Finally found a proper hammock to go between the pines, like I am ever going to ever use it.

There is a town 12 miles away has a poultry processing plant so it has a mexican grocery store. Damn good chorizo at that store. I am grilling it up for supper tonight with peas and rice.

Garbage night so started getting rid of some of the old stuff at the bottom of the freezer. 4 year old crappie filets(I know, I know) and 3 year old freezer burned ribs. Then this....

1/2 pint of moonshine from my 40th birthday almost 8 years ago. Not the store bought regulated stuff either.

Just put the garbage out. As I'm locking the gate up I notice something is different, but didn't hit me right away.

Looked around and finally figured out what it was. Neighbor I bitched about last year with a jungle in his back yard and between his garage and my fence had someone come in and clear put all the weeds and trees.

Guessing when I sprayed ground clear over the fence last summer and he watched everything miraculously die off he got the point.

Wish I wouldn't have spent $92 on more this past August in anticipation of killing it off again this year.

    I hate city living.....

One of my best Christmas memories was a visit to my Aunt and uncles. He was Polish and his family did a traditional Polish Christmas feast. OMG crazy good food.

You need to freeze moonshine? I ask because I was given a half gallon of hard cider. Well I'm Keto so a 1/4 cup every few months is it for me. I didn't realize it could go bad? Before when we made it in a barrel ,well it never lasted long enough to worry about...lol
