Sometimes...but not with my dog. Especially when someone is at the door.

The warning button on the remote works wonders. Thing is he loves it here, he lives in the city and when he comes to the lake he has room to run.

Uummmm that doesn't work with the wife's two little demon dogs. Not sure which is more annoying. Vacuuming the house or listening to her dog bark at the vacuum the whole time.

I think if I had a speaker that played thunder loud that would be more effective than a shock collar on my dogs.

Hey if you want to freak out little dogs and cats in the house, pull out your electronic game caller and set it to mountain lion scream or coyote howls/yips. Good times !!!!! Only downside is then the wife is hollering at you to stop.

Haha yep, I like setting it in the basement and turning on coyote fight or howling. They are too scared to go down the steps lol!

My dogs go off when a pack of coyotes start howling. They have been around quite a bit lately (coyotes). My dogs also go off when great horned owls are calling each other.

At first I try to figure out what they're barking about. Then I try to calm them down. If they persist, I yell "Enough!" That usually ends the barking.

I forgot to add that if the coyotes don't disperse and stop howling, I let my big dog out. He runs to the edge of the property and barks his warning which usually gets the coyotes to leave.

My female pit mix is too afraid of everything and will not go out with him. I've seen her running away from deer.

The ONLY time I have seen my lab bare her teeth is when she hears coyotes.

Being married to a man I love for 42 years. That said, one that knows I give gifts from the heart. Thus as today I am in the kitchen cooking a lot. 5 hours today making his gift double batches of
    Oat meal raisin
    Dark chocolate chip walnut
    Amish drop sugar
    Pumpkin spice and
    Peanut butter cookies.
So he did this for me a few years ago. Good time to catch up on hunting videos. 20211006_163355.jpg

    Ps
    Did I mention that's in the kitchen...lol

We don't have cake, cookies, bars, bakery in the house hell there is no junk food every once in a while I get a box of old dutch and top the tater from town if there is a big game on tv. There is a low shelf in the pantry filled with treats for the grandson but none for me.

Man, I'd gain 50 pounds in one day. My wife has to hide quantities of cookies from me.
Not a lie..... I tried getting my dog to sniff them out one time.

Wife and youngest are serious baker's but my wife always plans it so all the treats have a home.

Best way to beat temptation is to take away it's power and give in to it.

I just remembered in the spring there is usually a pan of rhubarb crisp on the counter, did not mean to lie there are seasonal treats. Reminds me I want pumpkin pie. I sometimes complain the local grocery store does not have a wide variety but I did score 4 cans of Festal pumpkin and that is the only pumpkin filling that is acceptable.

He gave me orders not to look at the appraisal for insurance when it arrives, I'd kill him...Lol I told him too late I already know how much they're worth. I LOVE THEM!
