My son and his lady dropped in last night for the weekend. My daughter and her hubby along with my grandson will be stopping by later. Looks like the night will become an impromptu 2nd anniversary party for my daughter. Getting a fire going to make jerk chicken and who knows what else for dinner. Good thing we already had gotten some adult beverages
Spent the day with grandsons...they ran me ragged! Played out side , took a walk, danced and tumbled around with them....geezzzzzs I'll sleep tonight. LOL.... from the sounds of it hubby had the same type of day with A.J. . Who BTW is dead to the world(A.J.) right now
My boys went 1st and 3rd in the 4th - 6th grade division in the regional for the AGFC Marksmanship Challenge. Later in the week, we will find out if my oldest’s point total was first in the state. He has a 1 in 5 chance.
Today in flag football my oldest threw a TD and had two interceptions. One interception was a pick 6 that was called back when the ref gave him a roughing penalty for stiff arming a kid trying to take his flag.
This is a TWO fer Doe back strap with giant puff ball and broccoli from the garden and a garden salad from our property Second....I can laugh about the neighbors pettiness. Does this every year. Doesn't work his woods until the week before bow season starts. He hates bow hunters. I love this because he won't let even family hunt bow season. He sets up right across from my blind and either cuts wood or splits wood. It just makes me laugh. His parents told us when they called to ask us to buy the property because their kids wanted it, he was mean spirited. Gee wonder why they called us to buy it...lol Oh ps Got those white faced hornets tonight...Will see if I can get to blind tomorrow...I'm sure it's a mess...I had to clean and put mice deterent pouches in all my other blinds today...they are chewing everything!
Four-year-old fell asleep on my chest we were laying on the couch earlier. I thought those days were gone.
Wife has been making home made pizza sauce with the home grown tomatoes will be pretty good on a pizza with ground venison sausage.
Add sauce to the browned meat, then sauce the pies... The sauce will pick up the fat and seasonings from the sausage. It's a win win mix.
Just got a text from a friend asking me to come to his property and take out a doe or two. Hell yes. Instead of public land I am going private on doe patrol.
For my youngest daughter, today was one of the best things in life for her. She got engaged. While I am very happy for her, it also saddens me that she has grown up. Today it feels like I lose my young daughter who I watched grow up and gave me many best things in life with the joy of raising her. The guy she is engaged to is a very polite, old schooled, hard working all around good guy. However I have two concerns. He was born and raised in Minnesota and he has bouts of road rage. Not to offend anyone here but I suppose I probably shouldn't nickname him Sota. :P Seriously he is a great guy and will be a very welcome addition to the family.
Monday my son is coming up to pick up his dog we have had him for the last 10 days. Larry is a good dog but he is still a high energy pup. Plus he is a hound and when he does that bark it is even louder than a regular bark.
^^^ Have you tried talking to Larry about the volume of his barking? Sometimes the old... STFU!! works.
