First MLB game for my middle son and youngest son tonight. First game for our family in the new Rangers stadium. Quite the way for our youngest to celebrate his fourth birthday.
The wife went shopping with the daughter yesterday. She asked if there was anything I needed while she was out. Being the smart ass that I am I quipped oh just surprise me... She came home with this.. Just love that woman She has my taste down to a T. Now I gotta figure out where to put it!
When you daughter nailed the bullseye at the Renaissance fair. We use to shoot a lot, hunting just was not for her. They ask her who taught you how to shoot, she said “my dad”. Made me smile Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
My boys played their second football game today. My oldest son proved he deserved a shot at QB with his second pass of the game. Later in the game he threw two deep passes that would have been TDs if the receivers hadn’t dropped the ball both times. My middle son got stopped on the 1 yard line from making a TD reception. Instagram video below, just in case anyone wants to watch a 10-year-old throw a 30 yard TD. https://www.instagram.com/p/CUBqXhIL4la/?utm_medium=copy_link
T Funny I just saw this...we use to have grouse EVERY WHERE, then suddenly hey disappeared for years. Today I flushed a grouse out of a food plot coming back from a battery change . I'm so excited! I so miss their drumming during turkey season.
Better late than never...I'm sure an idiot... My first pressure canning, green beans, is done. Nothing blew up! LOL still cooling so not sure how they turned out, but I finally, pulled up my own britches and gave it a shot...the doe is next.
So they look great except..... Daughter had given me a case of tops. I decided to try them. Did not like what I saw Kerr tops not Ball. Seals seemed sticky, but decided to try just two. The only two jars that did not seal. Just tossed the case. Good thing...wasn't canning the venison. I had also found Ball lids to buy this year so have plenty.
Wife was on the phone with a guy when I got home from work, he quoted her $150- 200 to take the dock out, We will take it. I sent pictures of the dock only no house in the background. Locals seem to add $100 or so.
Chilling under my shop overhang listening to the rain on the metal roof and enjoying the cooler temperatures it brought. Had a couple of very difficult days and really needed something like this. Oh and the cold beer doesn't hurt. Sent from my SM-G781V using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Harvest is here. Got 60 acres of beans out on Sunday and then got 2.3" of rain Monday. Sitting out until possibly this afternoon or tomorrow morning. Forecast is beautiful for the next 2 weeks. Bring it on!
They have tried to do some salvage of the corn by me with the wind laying it down it looks like almost half the silage is left in the field.
We've got about 100 acres of that ourselves and south of us has it really bad. About 8 miles wide and about 45 miles long stretch.
I thought they had planted the harvested bean field. I was wrong, they were discing it yesterday. I honestly do not know how, other than the tractor had 6 huge tires on it. We've had nearly non stop rain the last few days. SO that will be nearly bare by opening day Oct1. Also been watching the 5 long beardjs, all 5, in the new plot. They are sitting on top of the brush blind I plan on hunting them from this fall, just putting away. Hoping though they are hitting the beech nuts more that the clover seedlings.. they are not liking this rain.
I can't even...hadn't thought about Limp Bizkit since about 2001, and then came across LB from Lolla this year in Chicago...holy F they tore it up, much to my chagrin and all hilarity. Never thought I'd say this, but give Fred Durst credit- dude can effing perform they had DJ Lethal from House of Pain, FFS. Tore it down
