Arkansas? I don't know why you would, but come on down, I will show you around. There is good trout fishing in those streams. I am pretty sure that is what @Okiebob is doing.

Pretty much done working for the week at 10am tomorrow I get to deliver a riveting presentation on proper installation and maintenance of a leachate collection system. Still have to help the rep take down the display banners and drive to Denver but that is just mindless work.

Getting a half dozen quarts of kraut started and now sitting down in front of the boobtube to slice and core 97 jalapino to make poppers tomorrow. Froze some the other day as well.

Finally getting the spanner nut off the site glass of this old Jensen steam engine. Would have gone in the rant thread as I tried everything I could think of to get it off to replace the glass and remove calcium build up. Turns out no special tool, modified contraption or screw driver on one side was needed. Just a pair of snips that I thought might fit the slots when I seen them.

Grandpa had one of these when I was a kid and may have been my first introduction to mechanics which has been my purpose throughout life. Always wanted it to be gifted to me before he died but didn't happen, so went with the next best thing. A nostalgic replacement.

Lowballed an offer to a seller on Ebay after a reply he didn't know if it still worked or anything about it. Told him they were hard to restore and parts were hard to find  he accepted and I was surprised when I received it. Original box, instructions/parts list(used to order new one) and damn near mint condition aside from obviously been used before. Even came with an original box of fuel, but I used new that I purchased. Worked as good as it looked, price on new sight glass had changed but still readily available by the same company.

I'll only run distilled water through it now, but a nice memory to fire up every now and again.

Worms. Had to use barbless hooks so I fed twice as many as I caught.

Not really a best thing in life but kind of funny.

The wife and I went to town this morning and stopped at the bank. My wife ran inside while I parked and waited out front. A few minutes later I spotted an elderly woman exit the bank and walking briskly toward my truck. She had some money in her hand, was looking down and seemed preoccupied. I watched as she approached my truck, opened the door and stepped on the running board and started to climb in. I said "excuse me ma'am but you're entering the wrong vehicle". She gave me a bewildered look and replied that she certainly was as she got back out and proceeded to the truck next to me where her husband was waiting.

We both had a good laugh over it!

Met Joan Jets guitar tech in Denver tonight we bonded when I told him that I knew that Steve Jordan was replacing Charlie Watts on the stones tour. I knew that Steve Jordan was the drummer on the best ever live album. Blues Brothers Briefcase Full of Blues. Joan is recording an acoustic album and will be touring this fall when she comes to Minnesota I have a back stage friend.

These Hubble pics are so incredible. Been watching a lot of stuff on the complexities of galaxy formation birth and death. Do yourself a favor and look up Hubble pics.
