Looks great! With all the rocks you have I'm surprised you have a rototiller! Sent from my SM-G981U using Tapatalk
I sure hate this dry/hot summer but... It sure is super cool jambing to old hairball tunes on the deck and not seeing a single mosquitoe.
Went up to mom's today with the wife, Britney and her boy friend Dan. Got the oil changed on her mower and then we cut some small trees up around the barn. Had a blast with mom. Pretty impressed with her, She had the big yard just immaculate. For 80 years old, the amount of work she does on it by herself is just amazing. She really enjoys it ! Got to give her hell and she dished it back even better. When we got ready to leave, she asked how soon I was coming back. She would have a list of things for me to do. I really enjoyed today !! Just wished I had more time to spend helping her.
That is something really strange this year. Knock on wood, very very few skeeter. Standing water everywhere and always wet . Usually I'd have to be Deet head to toe but only spray legs for ticks. Speaking of here comes another storm across the valley. Yep that arrived fast.....
My Dad used to tell the story of Billy Mills from the 1964 Olympics. He was so proud to talk of this Lakota Sioux American. Pretty cool short video if like 2min. https://usopm.org/spotlight/billy-mills-plenty-of-motivation/
Oh let me tell you that is,our 4th rototiller, and I can't tell you how many times my temple was just grazed with soft ball sized rocks hurled at me. Nor how many times I had to hammer and chisel rocks stuck in tines. I still kick up good sized ones after winter heaves, but mainly a sandy loan remains with a few stones. Never run out of weed barrier placement rocks. Work better than pins on this windy hill...Lol
My garden is kicking a$$ this year. Lost my tomatoes to the heavy rains but my electric lettuce is killing it.
Idk, it has more of a ELO or Atlantic Rhythm Section vibe until after dark when the bluegrass kicks off.
Grandpa's.... Found this picture tonight as well, 1976 and just over a year and a half old. Posing in front of the brand new trailer I would ultimately spend 13 years of my life growing up in. 3 years later he would trade that trailer to my parents for their house so we could move to another small town, where my life would change forever at the age of 10....
Bought trailer 6 years ago for 19,500, because of the shortage of supplies used prices are through the roof, I just sold it for 17,000, thanks Biden Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
no idea where else to post this: https://www.marinetraffic.com/ Came across it on an article about a hijacked container vessel off Somalia and 6 oil tankers likely having just been seized by Iran; but then I spent about 15 minutes just putzing around there. Fascinating how much info is on this site, freshwater too.
My daughter is pretty much a carbon copy of my wife, she has the same attitude and absolutely can't not sugar coat her attitude. She went to a grocery store during her lunch break and got a cup of Caribou iced coffee she ordered and the woman behind her said you know pregnant women should limit their coffee intake. My daughter told her I am not pregnant but thanks for the advice, she kept a straight face as the woman apologized profusely, she is due in December. Do not F with my daughter she will not suffer a fool.
