Yeah I would not like to come off in a braggadocious manner but exactly. We still have doorknockers here and they do more for me than any advertising.

Watching your Adult kids do great ,especially in times like this. Son just bought a 2021 crew cab for his better half. Daughter was approached by another firm last week and they met her ask, no negotiation. Not sure what her current people will do now, but new career will be a 15 min. Jaunt on expressway. Not and hour and 1/2 on a two lane winding road in winter. This makes Mom very happy. Two hard working productive people reaping the rewards.

Home sick from work today, sore throat and mild fever, vaccinated but work has a policy have a symptom stay home.

Decided to hit a known shrooms spot on public land, still isolated and it's a quick in and out.

I think I found my tree for the next 3-5 years. I've checked it the past 2 years and never a mushroom. Walked up to it today and bam, 7 good ones around it. Look up and it's leafing out. Solid 3-4 feet diameter elm. I'm suspecting it may be in the early stages of dieing and hopefully will produce a mother lode for at least one of the upcoming seasons. It's about a 6 minute walk to get to from parking.

Ended up finding 10 in total and enough for a good snack.

Hopped across the road and headed to the creek where I know of a live cottonwood that has been producing the past several years. Easy walk down the middle of the creek, so I thought anyway. Must have had some good rains over the past year as there was quite a few new blockages and a reroute. Finally made it to the tree and nada.

Cut through some thick nasty stuff to walk back in the woods. Looking around I thought, well, at least no one else has been in this area. Take 3 steps and see something odd. Doh.......

What are the odds, super skunky smell to it, but I no longer partake, but know a few who do.

Just got the up date... she gave notice this a.m. then got another call with a new upped offer and she took it. Found out they'd been waiting several yrs for the opportunity to present an offer. Thus the 2 non negotiated raises (+ ) In offer. She's pumped. So far firm still has her working. She starts other job when released from notice. Yes proud mom. She's a loving , generous person to all and deserve all good things. Why both my kids have many long time friends and business acquaintances.

Finally got my nephew (in-law) on a bird, this is my favorite turkey hunt to date. I am more excited about him getting his first bird than any of my own...well, other than my first bird. No blind, we did a spot and stalk and he did perfect, I could hear his breathing pick up when it was go time. Such and awesome experience, can’t wait to get my son out and on his first.

Went fishing this morning for a few hours b4 work and had an epic day. Largest holdover brown I ever caught , then I went to a stocked section and caught a big palomino. First one I ever caught, all on my own tied flies.

Mom finally retired at age 74. Ha. Both mom and dad were such great examples of work ethic. Sick, Ill, tired...they just kept pushing forward.

So today I had an appointment scheduled to see my regular dr for an issue I had with a raspy voice and green boogers. He suggested the NeilMed sinus rinse. I was very skeptical. 1 treatment in holy **** the raspy voice is gone, for now. Also found up my weight is up 12 pounds and my blood pressure is boarder line. This will not stand.
