Lack of attention, your lack of intention when within sight of him. Probably had an uncle that was always telling him to find his pocket pickle.

First fish of the year. She caught one more bass and I caught a decent one myself. I only have her for a few more months before she heads off.

Anybody else watching the Hemingway biography on PBS? I read Old Man and the Sea when I was in jr high, I bought a first edition of for whom the bell tolls. Had no idea he was so hard core.

I'll have to watch that. For Whom the Bell Tolls is one of my favorites.

Gotta part ways with the man on all those cats tho. Lol.

Not checking any work emails when Im off. Started doing that a month ago, and it is fantastic. If crap really is bad, they can call me. My mental divorce from the job when off has helped immensely.

This little guy played great in his first tee ball game last night. He fielded a few ground balls and sort of threw to first.

That is why I leave for work in the dark, I get the sunrise over the lake, kinda hard to leave when you watch the sun come up.

My older boys had their first game last night as well. My oldest played SS, went 2 for 2 with a single and a double and tagged out a kid trying to steal 2nd. My middle son pitched for the first time and struck out 4 batters in two innings of pitching.

55 more hours of work starting tonight, then off for two weeks. Haven't been off a full shift since last November. Time to fish.

Top sirloin from Paul and Katy's and asparagus on the grill, so damn good. I have been to steak houses all over the country but I have to say the best steak I have had are the locals grilled at home. I apply a rub and let them sit morning till night so damn good so tender.

Ah man..., I wish you best of luck.
For an outdoorsman, thats gotta be tough!

Sota, I had grilled (store bought) asparagus last week. Was .99/lb.
I hesitated at first cuz I thought (no way).
Was actually damn good but my piss didn't stink like it does with fresh picked wild stuff.
I know of a few off the wall spots that I go to every year. Some others have also discovered those spots the past couple years.
I treat my favorite asparagus spots like my hunting areas.:ninja:
