Yeh Michigan wopuld be hard to beat for just deer numbers seen while hunting!! and like said above the different areas to hunt you can find just about anything your heart desires..Walt
I like the southeast - lot of oppurtunites for deer Fla was actually cool as that is where I grew up - you could shoot hogs, deer, turkey during bow season- I would never go back though I like NC early season is hot - but the deer are bigger(than Fla) I like AL saw more deer in three days than anywhere else I hunted 75 plus Sooooo I like the southeast - we dont have as many large ones running around but we have lots of oppurtunity - and I wouldn't give that up for large one
When you guys are making your picks are you considering who easily one can find land hunt? I'm betting this is no easy task in states like Iowa or Texas for instance? As far as the deer numbers you have to realize how BIG Texas is. There are other states higher deer DENSITIES than Texas…of course their total number going to be higher than anywhere else. One of the things I really like about MN is that ANYONE can find a place to bowhunt. We have over 5 million acres of land available to the public.
Well Duh, COLORADO! There are ten big game animals to hunt and over 40% of the state is public access-100% of that is where the animals live! Anyone, let me repeat, anyone can hunt anytime they want...no premission, affordable tags, so on and so forth. Alaska is in the same boat but a little harder to get to....
