Personally, I Really don't think ANY kind of soap helps as much as some think. My routine is to take a BATH and SOAK first than imediatly shower!! Use a scrubber and work yourself over!! I could add a few other things but have had a few beers and... Well
I like Irish spring soap...the original in the green bar is my favorite. I use Pantene pro-v shampoo, I like the convenience of shampoo/conditioner in one.
while I imagine most any scent-free soap would work, the good old green liquid Scent Killer from Wildlife Research is shampoo and body wash in one and not expensive at all. Easier to find than going to the supermarket and searching through all the hundreds of shampoos and body soaps for the very few that are actually scent free. Also, (and I know I'm going to take some flak for this) when it's deer season I use a little bit of my wife's Scent Killer Gold conditioner (pink bottle) in lieu of pomade or hair gel. It works pretty well. My hair is a complete rat's nest if I don't put something in it after showering and I can't exactly wear camo bibs and boonie hats into the office. As much as I'd like to.
I have Scent Away and Dead Down Wind bottles in my shower right now. They tend to dry my skin out pretty bad when it gets colder. I use Dove Unscented, when that starts happening. From September 1st until the end of the season I don't use anything with any fragrance at all. I use Right Guard Unscented Deodorant, or Arm and Hammer. Which ever is cheaper/available. For laundry detergent I use Seventh Generation Free and Clear. I use this year round (a little deal I have with my wife). It is a plant-based product that has no brighteners. Brighteners will literally make you glow in the dark, especially to deer and other animals.
Isn't Summer's Eve just vinegar and water with some fragrance? Why don't you just use - wait for it - vinegar and water for pennies on the dollar? I use Scent Away wash and Suave green apple shampoo & conditioner. I have deer coming to the stand from every direction, especially from downwind.
