Im in the market for a new release. What is everyone shooting. Im shooting a kinda glove type cobra and tried a jim fletcher 44cal and took it back. Was very sensitive. I like adjustable trigger and the ability to fold back. Thanks for any input.

Are you opposed to the idea of learning back tension? If you want to stay with a caliper wrist strap release then take a look at theSCOTT lineup.

I have had 2scott and use the little goose which I'm using now. My first Scott was purchased 20years ago and still works perfect. For the $ they are hard to beat.

Trufire hardcore...crisp release...comfortable...and you don't even have to look at your string to attach it so you can keep your eyes on target the whole time!

I just bought a true-fire Edge 4 finger release last night. Huge improvement over wrist release and am able to hold it more steady. Still getting used to it since im using my thumb to release instead of my finger over all I like it. Something you could possibly go to your local shop and see if they would let you try it. My local shop let me shoot with it all night to see if I liked it.

I picked up a Spot Hogg Wise Guy.. It takes a bit to get used to as it has a quick trigger. I'd recommend giving it a shot.

Simplicity and quiet is best for hunting. I like buckle, instead of hook and loop(velcro) style wrist strap models. I always seem to hear the velcro when I draw. Most better quality releases will have adjustable triggers. I currently shoot a Trufire Team Realtree Hurricane caliper style. The best I've seen though is a Jim Fletcher, Fletch hunter. The triggers adjust and they offer several wrist strap styles and a concho grip which is a hand gripped version(one of my brother's shoots the Fletchhunter Concho style for hunting). For target I love my 4 finger stanislowski, but that's a back tension version (no trigger here!)more suitable for the target environment IMO.

I'm a newb, but I tried many mechanical releases when I got all set up and ended up with the Tru-Fire Edge Hybrid Foldback camo release. I don't know a lot about all the different releases, but of the 3 I tried, I liked this one the best :)

TruBall Assassin! It has adjustable trigger and a really tough strap and buckle. With the buckle types they are noise free and synch down great.

tru fire edge with buckle strap and fold back feature not cheap but a great release and no nosie and fully adjustable and lifetime warranty! Adjust a little at a time as a little goes along ways! You can lock your length adjustment in place with this release as well so can turn and change length of pull on you but 360 swivel head and nice and small on a d loop!

trial 153 that is what I found when I looked into the scott buckle types with gloves on very tight on my wrist as well. The tru fire edge no problems in that dept.

I shoot two totally different releases. A Scott Rhino XT and a TRU Ball Max 4 Pro. It took a while to get use to the T handle since I han't shot one since the mid 80s, but I really like the TRU Ball. The Rhino is a buckle style and very smooth with a crisp trigger.
