Awesome post!!! Good job dad!!! I have two girls, 15 months and 4 months old. I pray that one day they will show some interest and want to spend some time in the outdoors with their old man. I would take them now, but my wife doesn't think that's such a good idea...LOL!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well Pops that is really cool and I will be doing the same with my 9 year old daughter this weekend. She has never been out and I hung a double this year also. I kind of wish I took her this morning because I saw 21 deer and all but a couple went under the double stand that I just hung for us to hunt. I was in the woods by about 60 yards while the double is on the edge of the woods. I have not seen this many deer at my spot in one day in almost 7 years. I hope this is a good sign for my hunting this year. I can not wait to get my daughter out there with me just to see what she will do. She was telling her grandma today after school so she is excited already. Here is a pic of my double stand after we got done hanging it.
I also started my daughter out shed hunting first to see if she would be interested in hunting. She really loves shed hunting so I am sure she will enjoy this as long as we see deer!
Awesome stuff right there guys. Can't wait to be home with my young ones and get out there with them. Being that I am here in Afghanistan my father and good a friend are taking my older two out for youth season in VT this year. They had to take them last year as well as I was training to come here. Hated to have to miss that time with them but I am lucky enough to have someone I trust to take them out. Nothing better than time in the woods with your kids, teaching them about nature and wildlife. Keep up the good work and grow those future hunters. And like the last guy posted, can't help but tear up reading stuff like that on here.
Well said vt!! Your time Is coming bud!! To the thread starter, these threads ROCK!!!!!!!!! I'm a father of a 3 year old daughter.
