hey guys im trying to find a good jacket. But there are so many options and opinions. here is what im looking for:

    -waterproof or water resistant
    -quite
-good for temps in 50's to 30's (mid to late season in Ohio)
    -not bulky
    -price effective

I know you get what you pay for but I think the Sitka gear is straight ridiculous so im not interested in that. I went to local Cabelas yesterday and they didnt have much of a selection. I did try on the new Under Armor Speed Freak and that felt great but there isnt too many reviews on it yet.
Please help a brother out. Thanks!!

ps. sorry if this is in the wrong place. Just trying to get some feedback!!

You do get what you pay for so it's going to be tough finding what you want. Most of the cheaper jackets are going to be pretty bulky, unless you layer.

I suggest checking prices for merino layers. You will be be able to control bulk and be able to get away with just a waterproof/windproof outer shell.

I have the under armour scent control jacket and pants it is super nice! water resistant and warm but breathable. I do wear in early season as well and it works great for me. I can either just wear the jacket with hardly anything underneath or layer a bunch if it gets chilly. Definitely recommend it.
