I am heading up for bear in a couple weeks and am starting to second guess myself. It's my first trip for anything other than deer and turkey.

I use Purex Free and Clear. It's 100% dye and perfume free, and I add some Borax to it. Cheap and easy.

I use Scent-A-Way. I also use their body wash and deodorant. It's been awhile and I have no idea where the article is, but some independent magazine had done a test on all of the different products and found that scent-a-way was the best one at killing odor causing bacteria. I'm a freak about it. I even wash my towel in it so that I'm not rubbing scent all over my self when I dry off out of the shower. LOL

Another vote for Scent-A-Way. Slightly more expensive then just regular 100% dye/additive free detergent but I just buy one bottle of the concentrated stuff for around $10 and it lasts at least a few seasons if I wash clothes every few outings.

I also use the earth scented dryer sheets and the lowest heat or no heat setting on the dryer since I don't have the space to air dry outside (apartment living & hunting - gotta make the best of it).

    Baking soda works well.

But if you want 'the best', I would take a look at Carbon Synergy.

I wash mine at the beginning of the year. They hang outside the rest of the year.

I've used the Purex Free and Clear & ALL Free and Clear Perfume free. Much cheaper than the hunting varieties and has worked well for me...
