I use an old pair of Red Wings that were retired from work duty...comfy and waterproof.

What sort of boot are you looking for?

The best pair I ever owned was a pair of LaCrosse. Those boots kept my feet dry for years, even though I put them through the worst. Even though the outside became mangled, they remained waterproof. Eventually they developed a small leak when I walked through water. I still wear them when it's not too wet. Those were leather, 9" high, 800g of thinsulate....wish I had 3 more pair of them! Never had a pair of mucks. It's tougher than you think to replace an old reliable pair of boots.

My Schnee's are the best I have owned for hunting and well built. Hands down the best I have used for shed hunting have been my Columbia hikers.
