Cabelas Outfitter Series are awesome for elk hunting and very comfy!

I also bought a pair of 2000 gram rubber boots of theirs last year for late season hunting and ice fishing and they are awesome as well!

I have always used LaCrosse rubber up in the northeast due to deep snow and cold hunting conditions. They used to be better but since they are now made in China they just don't last. I have 5 pair of LaCrosse and all the old ones are still OK but the newer ones go south after a couple of years. I tried the Cabelas brand and they lasted 1 season of hunting and ice fishing then checked and cracked on the ankle area. I plan on trying the muck Woodymax hunting boot next and will be getting a pair shortly.

I just got my Muck Woody Elites from right here at bowhunting.com and after wearing them for just a couple of days I know they are by far the most comfortable boot I've ever owned. I didn't think anything could beat the Alpha Burly Sports I had. I was wrong!

Good luck with them. I ice fish almost every day all winter. The boots are real warm but they will develop cracks around the ankles and then split. Cabelas was real good and took them back from me after over a year and gave me a gift certificate for the 100 bucks I had in them. Real decent of them IMO. Watch out for that cracking and send them back as soon as you see them develop. I wasn't the only one to have that problem. Look at the on line reviews in the Cabelas web site. I was hard on them with cold and lots of sun but they didn't last.

I've been partial to Muck, as well. I've worn them on the farm and hunting.

Also, my ScentBlocker Dream Season boots are super comfortable for an early season boot.

For cooler weather, Irish Setters are what I've been wearing for the past 2 seasons. Only complaint is durability, but then again, I beat the crap out of boots.

I have a pair of Lacrosse Alpha burly 2s and they are really nice. They are going on my 3rd season and still look brand new.My next pair will more than likely be Muck boots tho. My feet sweat a lot and mucks are more breathable, yet still offer the warmth. My dad has had a pair of muck boots for years and they are in awesome shape still.

Muck Woody Max! Warm, comfortable, and easy to take on and off. Only problem I've seen is a friend had a corn stalk cut through the outter layer, but that can happen to any rubber boot.

I purchased the Cabelas Dura-Trax for the height and snake bite protection. Extremely comfortable boot and very warm. I am very pleased so far. I hunt the NC swampy areas and my feet are always bone dry. These have the 1200 gm insulation so cold feet has not been an issue. A great deal at $129.............a nice product for the money IMO......

Another vote for Muck boots. I did try some Boggs boots this year. They are right in line with Mucks an are a little cheaper.

I just bought a pair of Muck Woody Max and got to use them this weekend. I love them. My feet were toasty at 20 degrees and dry as a bone going through a 10 inch deep stream.

I'm the odd man out I guess.

I've used upper end Rocky's my entire hunting career (25yrs), with nothing but stellar perormance. My first two pairs lasted 10+yrs each...and I am now on my 3rd pair. I've never had an issue with leaking or anything. On my 2nd pair...the soles fell apart in chunks on yr 10. I called Rocky to ask about it...and they offered to send me a free set of soles. I took em since the uppers were still in good shape, and paid $30 to have them put on. Still have them, in fact...I wore them yesterday! Those were Mountain Stalkers....the ones I have now are called Bear Claws I think. So far they seem good, only had them 2yrs. I can't complain a bit....the Rockys have done great for me. I do have a pair of LaCrosse rubber boots that I wear some too...they are pretty good as well.
