Best height for your trail camera

    Best height to put trail cameras from ground view and from a elativated position what is the best angle for the camera to be placed looking to the trail/ pinch point.

    Ground view I go bellybutton high. If I mount high it will be 10 to 12 ft depending on foliage cover.

    depends on where it is set up ... on private with no chance of theft/trespassing I kept them about crotch to waist high ... on public/state lands, I take one long climbing stick with me and place the cam above my head when on top of the stick ... all get cabled in and camo'd as best as possible ....

    Mine are all 12 feet or so high to keep the thieves away

    I like up high on the tree unless in a security box

    I tend to put them 6-10 feet up. Reason being, they seem to take better pics and you don't get a bunch of pic's that you can't see the target because it's to far out yet got picked up by the eye. You also get a better pic of the headgear of any hit listers.
