best hang on tree stand?

    The heavy cheap ones are fine if your going to put them up and leave them all year. if your going to carry them in and bring them back out I would go with the light stand that will cost a little more. you might want to get one light one and 2 cheap heavy ones.

    For my fixed stands that I'm not planning on moving I use screw in steps also. I personally love them. I need roughly 13 to 15 of them to get me up to around 20 feet. I have no issues getting them started and I feel very safe using them. I've never timed it, but if I had to guess, I could hang a stand and be hunting in less then 20 minutes. They are very quiet too once in the tree.

    Once the stand is hung, I just take out the first 4 or 5 steps to keep the honest people honest and once season rolls around I put them back in.
