Looking for a good glove to hunt with. Most important aspect is dexterity as opposed to warmth. Any that you guys like?
I would check out Manzella gloves. They make some real nice bow hunting gloves. Or any of the stretch fit tipe gloves, E.G. Under Armor liners or comparible knock offs work well. http://www.manzella.com/
Well, I just found out this a womens glove But, I wear these on EVERY hunt. Nice to wear on warmer days but do a fantastic job of insulating on cold days. Best part is that they are thin, I like having a full finger glove that still allows me to feel my release and anchor properly. http://www.manzella.com/index.php/products/detail/mzw-092
Manzella bar none! I where them in the early season & also in the late season with a clip on hand warmer for really cold days.
I ended up just getting cheap liner gloves at Wal-mart. I have had the 2 pairs of Manzella gloves and hated both of them. The light ones I had were just very uncomfortable and the stitching really irritated my hands. Had the same problem with the heavier ones and they were not warm at all. I've worn liner gloves warmer then their insulated gloves. Anymore I'll wear insulated gloves in but once I get to the stand I just go with a liner on my left, bare hand on the right and use my hand warmer pockets. In Manzella's defense its probably just how my hands are. I have very long skinny fingers and I have never found a glove that really fits the way I think they should. I think that in addition the way they stitch their gloves causes that problem to compound with their gloves.
Don't think I have ever heard of or seen Manzella gloves before but looks like they have a few pairs that look cool! Any idea what stores sell them or do I have to order online?
I believe you can buy them through the manufacturer's website. I know Cabela's usually carries them however it's usually a seasonal thing.
I would recommend Manzella also. They seem to be made with much higher quality materials and stitching. One thing most of us never think of, is when at full draw some gloves in the palm make a squeaking noise against the riser grip. So, when I choose a glove, I ask to handle a bow at the store to check for squeaks. For a thin early season glove, I'd get, as i have a thin tight fit nimble glove that fits especially in the finger tips. Those gloves even work for me in colder weather by wearing a, I think it's called a hand muffler that you wear around your waist.
I've seen them Cabela's, ****'s Sporting Goods and Gander Mountain. They are usually sold at a small kayos in each store by themselves.
I don't know where you're from, but I saw them yesterday at Gander Mountain geneva and Cabela's in Hoffman Estates.
