The pleather/silicon combo is what I like.

Leather/hide (like) durability on the palm is the reason I still have an ancient Cabelas glove I wear on the way in...nothing worse than a handful of blackberry bushes or greenbriar to grab your attention...

I wear a combination of gloves based on conditions. Love, love, love these fingerless gloves: https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/white-river-fly-shop-fingerless-fleece-gloves

I then use full-length wool gloves for colder weather and wet conditions. No problem with the full fingers. Gloves are not that thick. Lastly, for the coldest conditions, I wear fingerless glovemitts.

In all cases, I use multiple sets of hand warmers. I put two on my wrists and two for my fingers or in my pockets.

I just wear some thin ones that are camo and have grip lines, I can easily shoot in them. When it's cold I keep the gloves on and in my pockets with hand warmers until I need to take them out.
I can't stand trying to shoot in any kind of glove that isn't super thin, fingerless or otherwise. I find that it affects my release hand anchor point on the side of my face. A bulky hood does the same thing and I see windage issues in my accuracy.

For whitetail hunting the fantic gloves coupled with a the fantic muff is hard to beat.
