Muzzy trocar or nap thunderheads for me. Best heads out there. imho Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
QAD Exodus, I shoot out to 50-55 yards at home and they group great. Of course my bows are well tuned and to me that is key to shooting any broadhead well (yes even mechanicals).
I shoot mechanicals, but my wife shoots Magnus stingers. They tuned up nicely and have a great warranty
I'm surprised to see so many different reports of "field-tip-like accuracy". But like a few others have indicated, the true test comes when practicing beyond 40-50 yards which is probably less than 10% of the shots actually taken. For what it's worth, I've had excellect luck with 100gr G5 Montecs
I have had good luck with the 125 grain Magnus Buzzcuts with the bleeders. I have been shooting the Black hornets to see how they do and I may go to them. I do like there warranty.
Well have to be getting some new ones soon as I shoot 100 crimson talon. They stopped making them awhile back and only have a few left.
I love my (Old) model Slick Trick Mags, fly like my field points. I switch over from Rage & Swackers so this is the only experience that I have with fixed blades.. But apparently the new 4 pack Slick Tricks with the fancy design are made by a new company that have bought out the original owners... I've heard the new slick tricks have a lot of play in the blades even after screwing on the washers. They missed the fundamental rule, KISS !!!!
Rocket Ultimate Steel 100's have been my go to fixed blade for 6 years now. They are no longer made which sucks. Tried to buy up as many as I could get my hands on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The Outdoor group purchased them. The same people who own Elite Archery, winners Choice, Scott Archery, CBE, Solid Broadheads, duel game calls and others. They didn't change a single thing, other than packaging Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I haven't yet, I need to get on that! To be honest i was worried about not getting that perfect 20 degree angle with it. I've been using diamond stones and wet stones for the bleeders then strop them at the final stage with a KME at 20 degrees for the mean time. Def does the trick, but you're right bro, pain in the A**!!! haha
The work sharp has a 20 degree guide, even I can't screw it up. It gets the main blades like razors fast. I still use a flat stone for all the bleeders. Really it's at the point where the only way you can mess a head up is if you loose it.
