I agree it's all preference. Maybe the question should be what's your favorite fall-away and why? I like my QAD Ultra HD
thanks guys i ment which one was everyones favorites miss worded it... i have a ripcord and i love it, i just was asking around because my friend was looking into switching from a whisker biscuit to a fall away...just want to know what you guys think on the subject
I have heard alot of good things about the ripcord as well as the QAD ultra Hd. I have heard some guys having issues with the pro series as well as the hunter that QAD makes.
My friend is looking at the cheaper qad because he doesnt like spending money. I like the full containment fall aways
I really like my trophy taker pronghorn. So far it has worked great and allowed me to kill a deer with it.
I think I am puting a Trophy Taker Smackdown on my new bow. I like the limb driven idea of a limbdriver and the full containment of the Trophy Taker.
i am a HUGE Vital Gear Vital drop Pro fan Full contain, Limb driven rest I use the Kaz-a-way currently, also awesome. The next bow will have the vital drop
the rest is under tension and uses a line the the limb. so when the bow is drawn the line lets the spring push the rest up, then as soon as the bow is released the rest slams down, the most efficient adn fastest way to get a rest down
sounds like somthing that i need to look into...this means there is less time the arrow is in contact with the rest which means faster arrow speeds and more accuracy?
If they are setup right you can actually get the arrow staying on the rest longer since they drop faster which gives you a better arrow flight. Most dropaway rests do so by being spring loaded and using a spring to drop them, not getting pulled down like a limb driven rest is. With a limb driven rest you can't have any issues with a rest not dropping, the only potential issue could be if the spring doesn't raise your arrow, but that is something you should see before shooting. Also with the rests being attached to the limb it helps with bounce back from your rest bouncing off of the riser and contacting your arrow/fletching during the shot.
Yes because my ripcord can bounce off the riser but i have it set high enought so that it dosent come in contact with the riser at all... so therefore the only way it can bounce is from the energy left from it falling on itself...limbdriven sounds awesome
You'll have to watch how you do that as you can throw your tuning off pretty easily by moving your rest too high, as that will move your knocking point up and change the dynamics of your bow.
