I get better prices locally at the Pro Shop or here on bowhunting.com. I know I can trust both and both are there for me when I have any issues. Gander and Cabelas are usually staffed with less knowledgeable staff and their prices generally suck.

    I second that!
The only thing I go to cabelas, bass pro, ****'s, or gander for is scent stuff of clothes and I buy it all at the end of the season when it's about 75% off.
Other then that get your shooting equipment from a source you know you can trust.
Here is a great example for you I was a a pro shop yesterday when a guy came in and said " I am so happy you are here now I went to cabelas and got arrows and 2 of them were cut crooked and 1 of them the insert was sticking out but was glued.
You might pay a couple dollars more at the pro shop or on here but the quality and knowledge is there.

I look in the classifieds first, AT mostly, and I'll even wait a bit to see if what I want shows up. If I can't get what I want from the classifieds then I usually buy it from a website I use most of the time due to the very good prices.

I use to shop online thinking the prices were better. No longer will I do that. My pro shop (Drop Tine Archery in Advance, NC) is the place I go. They actually beat the price on line without me asking them to cut me a deal. I bought a custom string, new string silencers, NAP Apache rest, G5 Meta peep, custom string for my wifes bow and had it all installed for $113.00 last week. You wont find a deal like that anywhere online. On top of that these are these guys that will be there for you. They are hunters, 3D competitors, target archers and just good old guys that enjoy what they do. I will never shop any where else unless they were to go out of bussiness. I don't see that happening any time soon.
