According to over 17,000 trophy whitetails entered over the years, they came up with the one day that most of those trophies were harvested on. I myself have one of my pope and young bucks harvested on this day. So, it is evidence that November 11th, is indeed a hot date to be in the treestand according to outdoor life magazine! good luck to everyone!
I will be hunting MOST of the first three weeks of November .... I will ake sure that day is one of them
Maybe its just a coincidence, but there are a lot of people that arent able to take vacation throughout the rut. Being that November 11 is a federal holiday (Veterans Day), many more people are able to hit the woods.
No kidding... when I saw the title of the thread, I thought it was a question. I was going to come in and post "The 11th"... You can go back and track me saying the same thing for years on the boards... it's always been the most magical day in the woods for me -- bar none.
Although my biggest buck was taken on Nov 11th, my favorite day to be in the woods is Nov 7th. After that.....Nov 4th.
I know alot of us on here know this, just giving some advice for newbies and other people. There are alot of good days to hunt no doubt about it!

I'm off nine days in a row the 6th - 14th! I can't wait. My B-I-L will be here on Fri. The 5th. We will be out from daylight to dark everyday! By the way daylight saving time ends on Sunday the 7th so it will start getting dark an hour earlier and daylight an hour sooner. Just thought I would throw that out there. I've killed on the 9th, 10th, and the 13th but never the 11th. Still a good day to be in the woods tho. Not a bad day around that time of year at all.
Is their really a bad day to be in the woods, the 11th is my anniversary(I was not a hunting nut when i got married)But my wife is pretty good about it, last year I was hunting in Illinois on my anniversary .
I'll be going down to Southern Ohio November 12-14th. Unfortunately, I won't be able to get down there on the 11th :'( BTW, glad to be back on the Bowhunting.com forums!!! My internet use, other than for grad school, has been non-existent.
Mine seems to always be the 5th or 6th. If im still not taged out, ill be out the 11th..thanks for the info Ryan!
Just a little hint i have always sworn by the first 3 days of double digits in november, its always worked for me i seem to always see alot of buck activity during this time period. 11/10 11/11 11/12
I agree - The WEATHER is way more important than the day. I seem to kill my biggest bucks on the first cloudy cold day in November (or maybe even halloween!).
Back In the day November 6th always produced the best results with me seeing the most buck activity. Not so much though the last 5 years. The last 3 years not Including this year the 3rd week of October has been hot!! When talking November I make sure I'm out there around the 15th as well. A few days before and after that November date.
