Ole' Brantley Gilbert and Eric Church stay rockin on my radio. Just about any song they are all good.
There was a time when country wasn't something I listened to. So I have songs from old, and songs from new. From the old artists I could give you many, many more songs. Maybe a few others from the new country. Favorites from old: Garth Brooks: Thunder Rolls Sawyer Brown: The Race Is On Nitty Gritty Dirt Band: Fishin' In The Dark David Lee Murphy: Dust On The Bottle George Strait: Lovebug From now: Kenny Chesney: You And Tequila Rodney Atkins: Take A Back Road Jason Aldean: Tatoos On This Town Zac Brown Band: Keep Me In Mind Like Rybo, my favorites could change.. especially with the old stuff. If I had to pick "one" right now, it'd be "the race is on" Sawyer Brown was the stuff when I was a kid. Tomorrow it'd likely be something else.
If I had to pick 1 song only. It'd have to be Rodeo - Garth Brooks. It's one song I've heard a million times for a lot of years and still sounds good to me today, as it did when it 1st came out. There's very few songs I can say that about. The biggest thing I miss about Country Music nowadays is the old Rodeo/Cowboy music like Ledoux, Strait and Brooks used to have a lot of.
I'm at work so I can't do those fancy youtube links. We aren't allowed on that site. Here are some of my favorites I guess you could say. I rarely listen to country anymore but I do find myself singing along to Taylor Swift. That's not country though, right? Tracy Lawrence - Time Marches On John Anderson - Swingin' Dwight Yoakam - Fast as You & A Thousand Miles from Nowhere David Lee Murphy- Dust on the Bottle Hank Williams Jr- Country Boy can Survive George Jones - White Lighting The Tractors Then I did a search and remembered a few more. Richochet - Daddy's Money Alabama - Down Home Toby Keith - You Aint Much Fun Tracy Byrd - I'm from the Country Garth Brooks - Friends in Low Places.
My favorites are Jason Aldean, Brad Paisley, and Brantley Gilbert.. I like a lot of Tim McGraw, Carrie Underwood, Kenny Chesney, Blake Shelton, Justin Moore, and Miranda Lambert too. I absolutely despise Rascal Flatts and Lady Antebellum. My favorite country song is probably My Kinda Party. Anything by those singers ^ especially Jason Aldean and Brad Paisley are always all-time favorites of mine.
Close, but "The Ride" is the "Best Country and Western song of them all!!!" ...He was dressed like 1950, half drunk and hollow eyed.... Too many to pick from.... Garth, Friends in Low Places..... George Strait, Pure Country (the kid version), and I Cross My Heart.... Colin Raye, Love Me..... Alan Jackson, Drive, Where Were You When the World Stopped Turning, Neon Rainbow, etc.... Tim McGraw, Don't Take the Girl and If You're Reading This.... David Ball, Private Malone..... Charlie Daniels, Devil Went Down to Georgia, Simple Man, Uneady Rider '88, Uneasy Rider
Probably my all time favorite song along with Dust on the bottle. Currently I like Jason Aldeans Dirt Road Antham, Eric Church Entire new album!
Where Corn Don't Grow -Travis Tritt addition Lately: Whatever It Is (Zac Brown Band) Gimme That Girl (Joe Nichols) and All Summer Long (Kid Rock -I know, it's borderline) Honorable mention: Am I the Only One (Dierks Bentley) and My Kinda Party (Jason Aldean)
Don't care for new country music, so I have to go back aways George Jones and "He stopped loving her today" and "I don't need your rocking chair"
