Having had the Summit Viper and now owning an LW Assault - I can say that I have found my fit. I love the LW for may reasons, the minimal weight, the ease of set up, the silent tree strap adjustments, the in frame bow rest. I hunt public land, and won't leave anything behind and have found that even sticks and hang ons for me have been louder than I'd like. (Perhaps I haven't found the right set up yet) with the LW climber I can get up off the ground with only my bow being left behind and only feet ever touching the ground around the base of the tree. I hope this feedback helps.

I got rid of my climber a few years ago and got a hang-on stand, kept running into the issue of finding some good areas but no trees straight enough for a climber. Majority of hang on and stick setups are pretty light and just as quick to get up in a tree with.

Depends where you hunt. Piney woods are climber heaven. But if you have a lot of oaks you hunt or an area with not very many straight climbable trees I would consider a hang on stand.

I love my summit viper SD.
Make sure what ever you buy is aluminum not steel. Weight difference is substantial when your lugging that thing around
