I was curious what bowhunting/outdoor shows are good ones to go to in the midwest (say IL/east IA/ south WI/ west IN). I live in northern Illinois (Lake County) and I'm looking for good bowhunting/outdoor shows to attend with my son in the off season. We have some fishing shows but not many hunting shows that I could find. Any suggestions? Willing to travel for a good one... Thanks in advance.

The Madison deer expo is top-notch and definetly a good show!

Deer Fest in Oshkosh Wi. is an excellent show. Drive the new 4 wheelers, Shoot the new bow. Bring your own bow for 3D or pop up range. Spread out nicely. Great deals and seminars. Madison was nice but too crowded. I couldn't even see things I wanted to look at because I was getting pushed along.

The top 3 in the Midwest IMO is
    Iowa Deer Classic
    Wisconsin Deer &Turkey Expo
    DeerFest in Oshkosh WI

Illinois Deer & Turkey Expo and the Kansas show are good but they are not run very well.
