I've been buying duracell batteries and I feel like I'm not getting the longevity out of them I should. One of my cameras uses 6 D-Cell batteries and it will last about 3 weeks and it averages around 700 pics per week. The other two use 4 C-Cell batteries and will last 5 weeks and take around 100 pics a week. Is this typical battery life or should it be longer?

I believe that is typical for cameras that take C's and D's

Mine take AA's and last months not weeks. I wish I would have switched years ago :tu:

    Which camera?
I have two Moultrie D55IRs and they both have lasted 2 months and still had over 60% battery life left.

Moultrie D50 uses the D-Cell. Wildgame Innovations s2 uses C-Cell.

Here is a list of several cameras and how long they last and with what batteries.

    I
have also found that Rayovac and Panasonic batteries last as long as anything out there and are inexpensive compared to Duracell. They also seem to be more dependable when it comes to getting the maximum number of pictures out of your camera.

Yea I had a couple of the WGI S2s. One of them would eat a set of batteries in less than 2 hours. They are now taking up space in the local landfill. Wont buy another WGI

So do the new cams with AA batteries hold up long? Just seems like they wouldn't last as long.
