Covert... And there will be about 15 (minimum) that will say the same.

For the price, quality, features, ease of use and customer service (if needed) is all very good. Not saying that other cameras do not offer the same, but I personally havent used another brand that puts its all together.

FWIW... I have a Bushnell Trophy Cam that is up there for my favorite camera, really has been a great camera last two years, but it cost a good bit more than any of the coverts i have... I can tell a difference in only night pictures with the Bushnell but that is about it, a little more clarity. Compared to the Red 40 i have, its a tad better at night in most cases, To the MP6 a good bit better, and the MPe5 a good bit better too.

But thats not saying the MP6 and MPe5 takes bad pictures, just not as clear when compared to the bushnell that was $220 something... So as i stated, Coverts put it all together and for very good prices... no matter what the use, thee is a camera that will suit you.

From my 15 month limited experience with trail cameras I'd say a tossup between Covert and Moultrie.

Coverts seem to take better daytime pictures than the Moultries, but the Moultries seem take better nighttime pictures.

The Covert is an MP6 Lost Camo.

    The Moultrie is an M-100.

Of course the M-100 is a more expensive camera than the MP6, so it's not a surprise it takes better night pics. I also have a Moultrie A5, it takes better night pics than the Covert MP6 but the daytime pics from the Covert and other features blow the Moultrie A5 away.

I'm in the market for two more cameras soon, still can't decide whether to get Coverts, maybe an MPE5 or another MP6 or two, then again I'd like to find a good deal on some Moultries too.....decisions, decisions, decisions.

moultrie m880 by far over my mp6. and the you can get the m880 on ebay for 125 with 2 yr warranty. i own both brands and the m880 are compared to the red 40 and the moultrie 990i compares to the black 60. and in both instances the moultries blow the coverts away especially in night pic quality.

No problem! I recommend setting A if no bait is being used or setting B if bait is being used

Alrighty thanks! Whats good bait? Im thinking of just placing it by a heavily used deer trail, but not 100% sure just where to put it.

Heavily used trails is great. This time of year I like to put corn out because they will find it fast. If baiting isn't legal or you don't have access to it heavily used trails are good.

My family does a little farming so I have free access to corn. It helps out a lot! I hope you enjoy your new Covert!

I will say this. I'm not overly thrilled with the night picture quality with my two Coverts (MPe5 and 2012 Red 40). With that being said, I'm used to the white flash of my homebrews. Looking at the pictures compared to a lot of equivalently priced commercial cams, they are on par.
