Wanted to know your input on what you think are some top notch arrows. I hunted with gold tip hunter XT for years but made the switch a while back to the black eagle rampages. I do like the smaller diameter arrows.

What do you all use and stand by? I am interested in looking into different arrows.

    Thanks.

Really surprised no one has answered. I'm not going to be a lot of help, I prefer the arrows you recently went away from.
Can I ask why you're looking for a different brand? Some kind of issue?

I've had zero issues with using Goldtip Hunter series arrows on elk for many years now. From back when they were called 5575's and 7595's.
I can't speak on smaller diameter arrows, heard about too many troubles with bent outserts and how crappy they pull from a target. I don't live in a windy area for the most part and just don't see a need for small diameter other than for that. Completely understand that we're all different and like what we like though, don't take it as an attack.

No experience with them myself, but everyone that tries the Victory Rip TKO's sure seems to rave about them. Guess they are one tough arrow.

My kids shot gold tips for years no problems.

I shot victory (v force) for a year thought they were very good.

I've taken a different approach the past 7-10 years and gone mainly with CX. A long time back Easton.

Personally, I think most of the carbon shafts seem so similar, there is little preceptable difference. So, I've probably gone a bit against the grain, here.

However, I feel like, there are more differences in the other components like inserts/half outs/outserts; vanes; nocks (3 or 4, offset, helical, lengths); bh/points. And the mix your bow/setup likes and how you shoot (I say this as I learned trad & split finger a long time ago, have shot finger with oneida and various releases oneida and more recent)...

No reason for me to switch. I normally just try to keep up with new products to see how they hold up against tried and true over the years. Loved my hunter XT's and have probably used them to kill several dozen deer over the years with no issues. I did find some interest in the smaller diameter shafts so I gave them a whirl. I do enjoy them and also have not had issues. I believe I also shot the 5575s. Looks familiar. This is probably going back over 10 years ago when I used them heavily.

I believe I have used the CX line. I remember several years back shooting the mayhem. Had several break on me so I switched. I also ran through a dozen or so of the V-force. I did enjoy the .001 model but I think they were up there in price. I could be wrong. Don't know why I went away from them. Seems every few years I like to try something new to switch it up. The only thing I have yet to give up is my heli-m lmao. I wait every year for the new bow and shoot a few and none ever really felt like the one. Maybe this year will be different.

By now everyone has to know I'm cheap.Im shooting mayhem and gold tip now but for years I've shot inexpensive whitetails. I've killed a whole lot of deer with them.
So best arrow for me is the ones that produce holes through deer.

I’ve grown happy with the 6mm shafts from Easton. Light weight so I have room to mess with all the components and not end up with a 500 gr arrow. They were called hexx but now are sonic 2.0. Same arrow different name. These paired with a 50 gr insert make a good arrow.

Black Eagle Rampage hands down. They are true, versatile and have a great GPI. I have been shooting them for 6-8 years and won't be changing

I really don’t see any need for anything but a standard diameter .245/246 or H sized arrow for whitetail.

BAE Spartans, Easton ACCs or any H sized Easton shafts. Victory. V force…. Any 246 sized shafts will work.

Big fan of Easton. The axis are my go to @ 5mm. If you looking for a lighter GPI Sonics are great and 6mm.

I also have been shooting mine for several years now. I have probably went through 2 dozen or so. I seem to break quite a few of them shooting deer. Never have broken so many arrows with the rampage. Part of the reason I want to switch. I had good luck with my gold tips though. After doing a bit of reading I landed on the RIP TKO arrows. I hear they are very durable arrows. Only time will tell.

My favorite .245 was the Easton Bowfire. I wish they still made them The Black Eagle Rampage is the first .204 I’ve ever used. I really like them Had them about 4-5 years now.

Carbon express piledrivers, anything else is for sissies that name their bow and think it needs to eat. If you use arrows because you saw them on a hunting show you are a quiver sniffing poser.

That’s a compliant I, and many others have with Easton. They are constantly dropping arrows from their hunting line up.

Ive shot Goldtip's since they hit the market waaaaaaaaaay back when ..... first it was XT/Pro Hunters, now its Velocity XT's ... they Vel's fly great, strong, consistent and my FOC is right at 12%/430grs ... Ive never found a need nor want to change brands ...
