Looking for suggestions for the best Android phone app for hunting and trails. Im leaning towards Scoutlook but there are several others. Trying to read reviews for a product can be aggravating due to stupidity. I have to laugh at the folks that post negative reviews because they don't have a cell phone signal for an app that uses location.

So what have you all had good luck with?

I've started to really take a liking to scoutlook. It has a lot of what I look for pressure, wind, temp, sunrise/sunset. I can also mark my stand sites and see which one to hunt that day by using the scent cone. It also tells you moon phase if you're into that. I just have the free version.

LOL. I was just gonna post about this yesterday. I've downloaded a few apps. (iPhone). The first was the Trimble GPS Hunt app. It does quite a bit. Topo maps, etc. Personally, I find the app a bit confusing, but it's the best complete app I've seen. It includes everything from topo maps, compass, you can sync with your computer, Moon/Sun, Bloodtrailing, Trophy room, and quite a bit more. Be forewarned, you'll have to spend a few $ to get all of the resources you're looking for. Elite membership is $29. per year, and the app will take a bit of getting used to. (did I mention my career is in the technology field?)

Another I downloaded last night is iSolunar. It's main concentration is Solar/Lunar and weather. You can also "map" your locations. I did it easily, (enter your zip) I quickly and found my hunting property. Once the map is open, you can "tag" your blind areas, deer tracks, blood, feeder locations, food plots, trail cams, You can also do (2) custom settings. The app is $4.99 Personally, I think it's worth it and much easier to use than Trimble GPS.

I personally don't like to have to read instructions to work an app. If I can't figure it out on my own within a few minutes, I think the developers could've/should've done a better job.

These are just my opinions, hopefully this familiarizes you with what to expect from each app.

I am using an app by MossyOak but I think it's basically Scoutlook. It even says Scoutlook on the one screen.

These are some iphone apps I have.

    -Google Earth
    -Hunting Calendar (Moon phases)
    -ScoutLook (Weather/Wind)
-Tree Squat'R (Great way to log deer)
-MotionX-GPS (Keep track of where you go and can mark locations)

Looking for a good app that has a detailed topo on it that I could mark stands, etc. MotionX-GPS is great but it doesnt have detailed topo. At least I haven't found it yet.

I use Trimble Outdoors Pro and its well worth the money, I mark all my stands, tracks, bedding etc. with it. Not to mention when I turn follow me on, it saves all my tracks so I can keep my lights off in the morning and get right to my stand. I team this up with FS rut reports and weather underground for weather info.

I'm thinking of biting the bullet for Backcountry Navigator Pro, but I would use it for more than just hunting. The ability to download maps and use offline to mark points/locations where you don't have satellite is nice. The selection and accuracy of the available maps sound like it's second to none. I use ScoutLook, but the deer log feature on my phone doing it from the stand seems a bit slow, so really just use it for the scent cone:D

AgriPlot is a good app (I've heard) for food plotters. It's available for iOS, but I don't think they have one for Android.

I have an iPhone but I use Tree Squat'r and Deer Scouter. Tree Squat'r is a very good app for logging deer and seeing trends based on moon and weather. Deer Scouter allows you to plot sign, stands, camera locations etc. I use them both religiously.

This app isn't on Android yet, but for all you iPhone users you should check out the Quiver Hunting App. It gives you current weather, sunrise & sunset, wind speed and direction along with barometric pressure. You can also track individual hunts and log deer activity. It's free too! https://itunes.apple.com/app/id98272272

Huntstand lite replaced all of my other ones.
You can set it up on your computer for even more tools. Sync your maps as well as share them with hunting buddies.
Works great because you can combine everybody else's scouting data on one map.
