What are the best and worst Father's Day gifts you have received (or given, if you are not a father)?

    Mine are:

BEST: When my son was 7 or 8 years old, he gave me a handmade card that said he would go fishing with me at least 14 times a year forever. I don't know why he picked 14, but that was 20 or 21 years ago and he still goes fishing with me at least 14 times a year. Getting quality time with the children is still tops on my list!

WORST: It wasn't a gift, but Dad passed away in 2002 on the day after Father's Day.

This father's day will be my 1st one. Just having my baby girl is "gift" enough. You see, after my wife and I tried for almost 7 years, we were just about at the end of the line because invitro (sp?) was not something we could afford to do.

Guess, what next thing I know, I'm in the living room watching "Arrow Affliction" and my wife comes in the room hollering, screaming and crying that the home preg test was positive, she tried another one of a different brand, same thing was positive.

Next day I went with her and the Doctor confirmed we were expecting.

Alethalena "Lena" Jolynn Luers was born on Jan 17, 2011. Here is a picture now at almost 5 months old.

And it only gets better for a long time to come! Wait til the first time she wishes you a happy fathers day, or birthday, or just tells you she loves you. The down side is they learn really young that they can wrap daddy around their pinkie pretty easily. :D

I am looking forward to all of that. I think she already has me wrapped around her pinkie, I've already got her a new bow. LOL :moose:

My best is the 300 weatherby mag my father bought from a neighbor on Father's day when I was 17and then he handed it to me that evening of Father's day. He told me it was mine. I was so pumped. I never saw my dad again after that evening. The next morning he was killed in a logging accident.

My worst Fathers Day gift, nothing comes to mind. We usually just go out and eat as a family. Or I get something for hunting.

Anything the wife and kiddos come up with is great with me.

Word on the street is that I am getting a new 3-D Target for Father's Day this year. WOOT!
