Look into one of the silver ion thread base layers, similar to Under Armour, only they suppress scent, and often times cheaper the Under Armour. Cabela's has a MTP silk weight X-scent base-layer that is good, X-scent themselves sell one, as does BassPro w/ Enduraskin. Check E-bay, I got my last few sets for $20 a set, better than half off of what you'll find them at either BassPro or Cabela's.

I bought Rocky Mock T zip up about 2 months ago. Got it for around $15 on sale at ****'s Sporting Goods.

In fact if you search ****'s sporting goods online, you will find some really fine deals on some average to better than average hunting clothes.

Start to cruise Sierra trading Post looking for under wear deals. Are you looking for a rain jacket or a hunting coat that's water proof? Hit Camo fire every day for their deeply discounted deal of the day.Spadout and Gearbuyer.com are two different websites that if you check in on them with regularity you can catch great deals.
Please tell me where you live (part of the country) and what you are looking to get out of these items and I will see if I can provide some help.

Try Redhead gear that is sold at Bass Pro shops. Redhead gear isn't real expensive, probably the cheapest you can find it.

Just picked up a couple of Realtree Hardwoods Grey LS T-shirts for $6 at Wally's this evening. And they are the wicking material. Unfortunately that ain't the greatest pattern for Alabama, but they may have something similar in a more regional pattern down there.

While not water-proof, you'll be hard pressed to find a better deal on any camo than a full suit from www.ultimatecamo.com the pattern is rock solid and blends well in most enviroments. Check out the web page and the photos section.

i tend to shop the closeout racks at gander mt and bass pro local to me... outerwear i like the gander stuff a bit better but the regular clothing from bass pro is nice for the money also... i typically buy realtree AP/APG, no particular reason other than my 8yr old son likes it better than MOBU... check in the bargain cave at cabellas online and BPS and Gander as well, should be able to find some decent cheap stuff, most of the house branded stuff is pretty decent from all 3...

I like predator camo for treestand hunting, and I have found killer deals just surfing the web. I layer up, and usually don't hunt on days with torrential downpours anyway (don't mind getting wet, just couldn't stand to lose a bloodtrail)..so cotton is fine for me. I get the cheapy predator gear, and layer solid color garments underneath. Works well for me, and I have a few outfits to interchange between before I have to do a scent free laundry session again.

I usually just pick up a few nice furs from some summertime roadkills, then I stretch, cut & sew them together for archery season.

They'll stink a bit if you let them rot, but if you keep them in the freezer, you'll be in like Flynn

Who else misses Fran? Where have you been Bud? Don't be such a stranger! I hope your doing well! Hey the poster is a kid,how about giving him a serious response.
Like look for ASAT on sale,Don had scored a great deal at Sportsmans guide recently.Look for Predator on sale. They just came out with fleece pants that look incredibly warm for about $80.Scan the classifieds at ArcheryTalk.com for deals, and here of course.Tradgang.com has a good classified section also for clothing deals.
Figure out what type and weight clothing you want, you will get a lot more function from multiple pieces you can layer.Be patient, fight the urge to buy right away to satisfy the immediate gratification need.Wait for sales! Hit Camo fire every day, steep and cheap every day,Sierra Trading Post every day.You can get great clothing really reasonably if you are patient.
