I'm looking to start filming hunts, whether that be dragging someone along to film for me or filming myself. I've been looking around t cameras that have had good reviews that are affordable for someone in college to purchase to film the memories of hunting that some of us hold so dear (pun not intended). I'm open to suggestions from anyone on what cameras they believe may be good options. Thanks! Cam
Check out www.campbellscameras.com and look at their packages. I love my sony ax-2000. Tyler Rector BHOD prostaff
Ya, i just posted a video "Southern Indiana Goose Hunt" yesterday thats a short clip from an unedited video of some goose hunting over the weekend. http://forums.bowhunting.com/videography-photography/52613-southern-indiana-goose-hunt.html
I have a Canon XA10 and am real happy with it so far. You can still get them for $1699 but sure they will start coming down in price now that the XA20 is becoming more available.
Haha those are some expensive pieces of equipment for a college student to buy! I'll keep them in mind to save up for because they look like they would be worth the investment!
Might be best to put out a price range. "Affordable" means something different to everyone. For instance, in college I ate ramen, had holes in my jeans, bought $12 30pks of beer.... but had a $3000 laptop
Look at some of the lower end canon models. I have the HF r30 and it takes great video I think I spent maybe $300 on it but I also bought a mic and extra batteries things like that. After everything for the camera and camera arm and mount I probably have about $750 give or take but I dont really think about that. I now have the chance to film something I can have forever to look back on. Just think of it that way Good luck on your search and season this year.
Haha most of those are true, my laptop is a little cheaper but I cant do super cheap beer. Keystone is the choice down here and I just say no unless its free lol Other wise I will go with something a little better or just go captain and coke.
Haha that is pretty much the equivalent to me right now, minus the beer to save money. I'm hoping for something good under $1000, but am I hoping for too much?
