I've got a diamond prism and was set up with 75 grain practice tips. I'm new at bow hunting and I'm lookin for the best 75 grain 2 blade broad head. Any suggestions?? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
I guess for the simple fact that 75gr. Heads aren't all that common and because it's never a bad thing to have a little more weight towards the front of the arrow. But, if you insist on 75 then muzzy makes a good one and I think g5 makes a 75gr. Head as well.
45 draw weight at the moment but takin it on up to 55 which is the max of this bow. Arrows I'm actually not sure of on the weight. I'm gettin new arrows soon. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Would change too 100 grain broadheads if I was you, 75gr seems little lite. Sent from my H1611 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
My buddy shoots 75 grain 3-blade Muzzys and does well with them. I agree that 100 gr would be better for penetration especially with the lighter poundage you're shooting.
I've heard alot about the muzzys ain't really found a bad review yet but I was lookin for a 2 blade and I don't thank they make one. Are there any broadheads that make a fixed 2 blade that are worth it? Or is 3 blade just the way to go? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Look at the Helix by Strickland archery, they make an 85 gr. I use the 100's and they penetrate better than anything I've ever used.
I wanted to go up to a 100g but the recommendation for this bow set up is 75g broadhead and 7.2 gpi arrow. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Running low poundage & short dl I'd definitely go with a 100 or even 125 grain super sharp head. Look at the German Kentics or the Solid Broad heads. Extremely sharp & durable. Yes they are costly but they fly great worth the money. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Ok Thanks! Definitely gonna check on all my options Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Curious about why you want a two blade broadhead. More blades will provide more cutting and a better blood trail.
I've heard 2 get better penetration, 3 better blood trails. I personally don't know yet which one I prefer over the other as far as experience goes. I've been lookin for a 2 blade to start out with but with my options I've got and some more research I've done I thank I'm goin with a 3 instead.
