Been trying to find a 4 inch plastic vane that provides the drag characteristics of a feather but I can't seem to find it. Is there a vane out there that provides the durability of plastic but with the drag benefits that individual feather filaments provides? Instead of a smooth vane, something with roughness or ridges in the vane?

Don't necessarily disagree but it's all in how you define durability.

I was a feather guy. Now it's only Flex Fletch FFP 360, best vane I have tried (and I tried most). Steers arrows well, silent flight, light, strong and sticks good. Use "zing" if using super type glues.

You can get mix/match colors from Jerry at Southshore archery.

I have arrows I fletched with feathers 6 months ago that still fly great. Even when a small part of the feather gets damaged, they still shoot fine.
