Like I said in the other thread, this will be the death of archery season. Maybe not immediately but the seasons will eventually be reduced to a few weeks just like rifle. And archery hunters are the minority, you can bet all the rifle hunters that don't already use bow will be pushing for this to be legal in archery.
I think they're pretty cool and would love to shoot one. However, I would be blown away if states legalized them for archery season simply due to the fact that there is no string. General firearms...sure, knock yourself out. Could be good to use in small woodlots or areas near homes where a person might not want to be blasting off with a rifle/shotgun/BP even if it is technically legal.
Technically speaking....this weapon is a lot closer to a muzzleloader than anything archery related. And I would have no problem using this during muzzleloader season.
It's currently only legal for hunting in 7 states. It's considered an air gun. I think it's sweet, but there's no way it'll be brought into the archery season. There was another airgun that shot a bolt there. It also shot any .50 cal projectile like a muzzle loader round. Different strokes for different folks.
I'd like to use it for predator hunting that would be pretty sweet since you could load it faster than a crossbow. I think this would be better for disabled or older people that cant set a crossbow on there own or something in that manner. Itll never replace my Hoyt that's a fact!!
