Alex checking in from Vermont. I have permission on a couple small private pieces of land and will also be doing some public land hunting for the first time this fall. Season opens oct 7 and I'm excited to put this summers scouting to use. maybe more so then most after missing out on all of last years season. Glad to be apart of this team! My name is Matt. I'm 31, have been married for 7 years and have 3 kids (4,2,9mo). I work as a manufacturing engineer for a company that makes lubrication equipment. I stay pretty busy but I do get a fair amount of vacation each year and have 3 weeks left this year to use mostly on hunting. I am mostly a weekend warrior but I usually take some days during the rut to spend all day in the stand. I hunt a small property that I am fortunate to be the only hunter on. I've taken a few nice bucks off the property between 120-130 inches but have seen bigger in person and on camera. This year I am going to be rifle hunting for the first time do to the need for more deer meat with the growing family. I'm really hoping that I don't have a stud walk by at 20 yards! I think I will still have to pack my bow in with me.
Checked my cameras yesterday... Nothing but does, fawns, Turkey and birds... Found out the Neighbor is logging and they started building the wind farm... This might be tougher than I thought... Sent from my LG-H830 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
So far I like Bellys Up and Whitetail Poppers. If I had to choose it would be one of those so far. Sent from my SM-G955U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Another vote for belly's up! My name is Alex, 29 years old. I'll be marrying my girlfriend of 7+ years 11 Aug 2018. Like I mentioned earlier I'll be hunting in both some public and private land here in Vermont. I missed all of last season because of a military deployment so I'm excited and found it very easy to spend some $ on hunting gear this summer. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I don't have a problem with being captain, unless someone wants to be it instead Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
