Never mind smearing the ink when you write. Today I called some pro shops looking to see if I could shoot a few bows I was interested in and not one of them had a lefty bow in that I wanted to shoot. What's a wrong hander to do...If I'm going to be dropping some big money on a new bow I'd like to at least shoot it before buying it.

You could still test the right handed bows for how they feel and are balanced. It should translate over, I would imagine.

I was once left handed and had to shoot the right handed bows to get a feel for them as someone already said. I was in a car accident which caused an injury in my left eye I now shoot right handed which was actually an easy transition since my right eye took dominance over my left eye. It is much easier to buy bows now!

I can honestly say I've never tried out a bow before I bought it for that very reason. If the pro shop does carry a lefty it's last year's leftover model
It's even worse if you ever decide to pick up guitar, that is awful being a lefty.

We were in the same boat when we bought my wife's bow. We went to the shop to look at bows but no lefties on the shelf. We were lucky that they ordered us one without any money down. She ended up loving it.

Think I'm going to test right handed bows and go from there. Might feel strange but at least I will get an idea.

It ain't easy being a lefty.

I just buy one from AT and test it out that way. If I don't like it, I'll put it right back on AT.

Just grab a right handed bow and face backwards.

I'm left handed but learned all sports right handed and am right eye dominate so all I really do left is eat and write. Worst thing about being left handed is having to eat surrounded by right handed space hogs.

It guarantees you a place at the end of the table so your arm doesn't hit one of us "hogs". :lmao:

I'm a strange case. I'm right eye dominant, but I do all fine motor skills with my left hand(writing, eating). I do all large motor skills with my right hand. So I'm lucky when it comes to bowhunting but I agree about sitting down at the dinner table.

I'm weird or wrong...or both. I'm right handed but left eye dominate shoot gun or bow either. I started out RH, made the switch to LH due to eye dominance, killed deer etc. When shopping for a new bow and trying to sell my LH I decided to go back to RH for this reason and how hard it was to sell the LH model.

I know 3 people that are close to me who are right handed in everything they do but are left eye dominant. It is hard to convince some people to try shooting with their dominant eye but when the do they realize how "normal" it feels. I don't remember how many arrows my wife destroyed shooting right handed. I finally convinced her to try lefty. All is good now.

why do right handed people feel they deserve more elbow room at the table than left handers? I mean what's next?
